Go to the afl stats page. Several QB's in 2011 threw over 100 touchdown passes.

Look at the last couple pages. We've been talking about this since Friday evening when the story broke. I'm thinking the #1 pick would have netted something like 5 first-round and 3 second-round picks if the #2 pick landed St. Louis this much. This is far more than I was thinking the Rams would get for that pick.

I still think that many picks gets the deal done for the #1 in any other draft. This to me is more of a shocker than Ditka trading an entire draft class to us.

Really what the Redskins are saying is they think Griffin's going to be better than Luck, if he's not the trade is probably a bust. I doubt the Rams would've taken Griffin anyway, so the Redskins should've dealt with the team picking #3 and not given up quite so much.

Little soon to be calling CJ and Mathews busts

One hasn't even been given the starting job yet and the other has looked good when healthy. 2 years doesn't mean a bust.

Yeah Spiller really started to show his talent the second half of last season, he's expected to be sharing the workload with Jackson this season. I can't wait to see that two headed monster we're going to have.

If Manning picks Denver, Tebow is gone

Quote:
He wouldn’t be cut. He’d be traded. At while the number of potentially interested teams isn’t known, the next yard sale at Shad Khan’s house may include some oversized tarps.

Yes, we’re told that the Jaguars are in the mix to acquire Tebow via trade.

Though if for some ridiculous reason he ends up there, the Jags HAVE to trade for him. For selling out games alone.

Manning doesn't need leverage, he's Peyton Manning, he calls the shots.

If he wants to bring his boys with him(Reggie Wayne, Jeff Saturday, Dallas Clark), Denver is the only team with cap space to make it happen.

I heard somewhere, most likely second or third-hand that the Niners were in contention to get Peyton. ??? I can't believe that he's not seriously considering this. Right now, ESPN has Denver and Arizona as the two leading finalists but seeing as how the Phillies came out of nowhere and landed Cliff Lee last winter, I don't see San Fran as out of it. I don't know the Niners contractual situation, but if Peyton wanted to win, going to the Niners would make that team the favorites easily in my eyes.

Manning's not going to the 49ers. Harbaugh has made it very clear Alex Smith is his guy. Besides Harbaugh and Manning would not make a good pairing.

that and the fact the Manning and Smith have the same agent and you don't hurt one of your clients with another.

The 49ers defense is spectacular, their offense manages well. If they get a good threat WR and their RB's stay healthy they will be in the playoffs again. Adding Manning now would just throw everything off.

Manning will play for Miami. Everything else is just a diversion or showing respect. No one needs him as much, and can be an instant threat in their division as the Dolphins. AZ would be nice for him, but they have Kolb and Skelton on the roster already. I really think (and that Whisenhunt thinks it too) that one of them will break out and be their franchise QB.

Just imagine if the 49ers can land Moss, and he is motivated to play. They will have a strong offense to go along with that tough as nails defense. As a Bills fan, I am begging for Manning to sign anywhere but Miami. Having to play Brady twice a year is enough.

Sorry to be "that guy" MF, but Manning will be in your division next year. I'm certain of it.

At least you got your running game going, got your QB locked up alongside your best WR. Get some good picks in the draft and you can keep pace with all 3 of em. I remember that you guys were 4-1 last year IIRC. Just gotta stay healthy and keep that rolling. Aside from AFC North I think yours will be the toughest division this year.

(And I say that because BALTIMORE, WOOOO GO RAVENS!!!, Pittsburgh, and Cincy are already tough. And Cincinatti has a lot of draft picks early this year including 2 good first rounders. THANKS OAKLAND!)

Peyton Manning could be close to choosing his next landing spot after just two stops on his free-agent tour, ESPN reported Sunday.

Citing sources close to Manning and a competing executive, the report put the Denver Broncos in the lead over Arizona and said Miami and Seattle might not even get the chance to arrange meetings with Manning.

One source, said to have spoken with Manning before his visit to the Cardinals, told ESPN "his gut is that Manning is leaning toward Denver."

The Cardinals did get a visit, though, as Manning was in town Saturday night and remained in the Phoenix area Sunday, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

The Broncos are in better financial position to strike immediately with nearly $30 million of salary cap space. The Cardinals are currently over the projected cap of $120.6 million, but could rework contract and release offensive tackle Levi Brown, who has a 2012 cap number of nearly $17 million, to free as much as $23 million, according to team sources.

A Cardinals team source told ESPN that Arizona would not go out without a fight and was prepared to make an aggressive push.

The Broncos won the AFC West with an 8-8 record and beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs under quarterback Tim Tebow last year. Tebow went on an electric run, in which his late-game dramatics won over fans, but critics have questioned his arm strength.

If Denver lands Manning, Tebow would be traded, with the Jacksonville Jaguars in line to acquire him, a source told Pro Football Network.

The Cardinals finished the season strong, winning seven of their last nine to finish 8-8 after a 1-6 start. The presence of six-time Pro Bowl receiver Larry Fitzgerald has also been considered a drawing card for the 36-year-old quarterback.

Manning was released by the Indianapolis Colts in a tearful press conference and flew from Miami to Denver two days later.

He has been said to favor remaining in the AFC, but hasn't ruled out a conference switch, according to reports
I don't want him to sign with Miami, but why not go to Miami and listen to their sales pitch? He has nothing to lose.

Robert Griffin III is going to be a much better QB than Tebow, all you really need to do is get him some receivers to throw the ball to. Hopefully Spencer's ready for all the bootlegs you guys are going to run to his side.
