ESPN will have lisa salters be the MNF sideline chick.

No erin andrews i wonder if that means she is leaving.

I don't think this will affect whether Erin Andrews stays at ESPN. She's already got a prominent role hosting the first hour of College Gameday and doing sideline reporting and likely wouldn't want to give that up just to do MNF sideline reporting. Ultimately EA is going to have a lot of suitors as ESPN will try to keep her and all the other networks are likely to make offers to her, so it's tough to guess whether she'll stay with ESPN.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on SportsCenter Wednesday that franchise player Matt Forte will not participate in any team functions until a long-term contract is finalized.
"He's not signing anything until he has a long-term deal," emphasized Schefter. "And until he has that ... you will not see Matt Forte in Chicago." The frustrated Forte camp had remained relatively quiet on the issue until the Bears went out and signed Michael Bush. Now Forte is entrenched for at least the next few months while the Bears seem content to let him twist in the wind on the one-year franchise tender.

As long as the Ravens get Dont'a Hightower (successor to Ray Lewis) or Mark Barron (successor to Ed Reed) I'll be happy.

I'd be worried, Jerry is a dumb dumb and we seem to be quite enamored with Mark Barron, I'd say there's at least a 60-70% chance we take him with the 14th pick, really hoping for Cox or DeCastro instead though.

I'm really hoping our defensive coordinator who's been part of Super Bowl winning teams talks Jerry out of that one, we don't need another player who's all talent and no production, had quite enough of those recently. Our first pick needs to be someone who's going to anchor our OL or DL for years to come, that's not Poe.

Supposedly the falcons are a leading contender for hbo hard knocks.

I know alot of good teams dont want to do it but that would be a real snoozzzzzfest.

There just isnt any interesting national storylines there.

According to ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys have had "internal discussions" about trading Felix Jones.
Beat writer Calvin Watkins says it "wouldn't surprise anyone" if the Cowboys moved on from Jones if they found an early- to middle-round runner to replace him as DeMarco Murray's complementary back. Jones is signed only through 2012, so the time for Dallas to move on from him is now, if that's their true intent. It sounds like Jones will be available on draft weekend.

I hope Watkins is wrong, I really like Jones, as well as my #28 jersey.

Wow, after Murray got injured, I thought Jones really stepped up.

Yeah I don't think Watkins is right, I see the Cowboys signing Jones to a decent contract. Doubt Jerry wants to admit he was wrong about drafting Jones in 2008. Besides we have a lot of needs, it would be smarter to re-sign Jones and draft for positions we need help at than to use a high pick on a back.

Hate to burst your bubble but Panthers are taking Fletcher Cox, unless by some miracle Blackmon or Claiborne slide all the way to 9.

It's now being reported that the Falcons have been offered Hard Knocks. Supposedly the Broncos were HBO's first choice but the team talked to Peyton Manning and he told them he didn't want to be on the show. Jets owner Woody Johnson wants to do the show again but Rex Ryan is against it. The Jaguars have asked to be on the show so they could be a possibility if the Falcons decline, although they would likely be HBO's last choice. In the past HBO hasn't announced who will be on Hard Knocks until May so they might now officially announce the team until next month.

Edit: Evidently the Jags were on Hard Knocks in 2004. I have absolutely no memory of that even though I've watched every season of the show.

I don't know why teams would want to be on the show. You end up giving away too many hints about your team and personnel to opposing NFL teams.

I've always wondered whether the Patriots would have signed Danny Woodhead if the Jets hadn't done Hard Knocks. Woodhead looked very good on Hard Knocks but the Jets already had Tomlinson, Greene and Joe McKnight so Woodhead was the odd man out. If the Pats hadn't seen how good Woodhead looked in practice on Hard Knocks they may never have signed him.

This is Jerry Jones. He'll either pick 3rd rounders in the 1st round, or he'll pick up a couple of Receivers and a Kicker.

Whatever will least help the team.

I did like the pick of Tyron Smith last year, kid could end up anchoring the LT spot on our line for the next 10 years. I just hope all these rumors that we want Mark Barron and Dontari Poe(glad we haven't invited Poe to the Ranch, makes it a lot less likely we're taking him) are just a smoke screen. We either need a disruptive DL to make our front seven better or an interior OL to keep Romo from getting killed and help our running game get a better push.
