What happened to Shane Lechler? Our offense was missing the starting 3 interior linemen and Miles Austin, not to mention we have yet to determine Laurent Robinson's replacement. 3 points is bad but it's just pre-season, once the season starts we should be an explosive offense again.

Lechler has a minor knee injury and should be back soon. Lechler only has a year left on his contract so it's possible that the Raiders may try to keep Marquette King, who punted last night, on the practice squad and then potentially replace Lechler with him if they can't come to an agreement. The problem with that is after last night's good game there's a decent chance another team would give King a chance to be their punter this season so the Raiders might not be able to keep him.

both comments were dead on which made both statements hilarious

These happen to be my 2 favorite teams. I ragged on them all last year and kept saying if GB merged their offense with the SF defense they'd be unstoppable. As much as I like GB, man their defense is/was just terrible. As for SF, if Smith could play the way he did against NO in last season's playoff, and providing they continue to have that awesome defense, I think that'd be enough for them to be a force to be reckoned with.

Brandon Carr is a beast too and it sounds like Barry Church should be quite an upgrade over Abram Elam. Our secondary and our linebacker corp are the strength of our defense, we have to hope Lissemore and Crawford will be enough of an upgrade for the defensive line to improve significantly.

McFadden was all up in that secondary! And yes we all know its preseason RG3 could be Jamarcus Russell, Tony Romo could be Tom Brady but I'd be at least a little worried.

Meh it's just pre-season, they could've given Romo a clean pocket on every play and plowed the road for the RBs on every run but I'd still be worried about the offensive line, back-ups playing in the middle or not.

There's NOTHING to worry about in the preseason except keeping your players, mainly your starters healthy. Nothing else matters in the preseason.

Dan Patrick said this morning that he's hearing rumors that the hit Jason Witten took against the Raiders may have caused a potentially serious injury. Witten took a hit from Rolando McClain and walked off the field but returned for the next drive. However, Patrick said he's hearing it may have caused a spleen injury. Patrick is certainly not a rumor-monger so if he mentions it on the air then he's got a solid source.

Edit: Patrick said he has a second source confirming a spleen injury. He said one source said he won't need surgery but will miss the rest of the preseason. The other source believes he will need surgery and will miss some actual games.

I'm loving Hard Knocks, such an entertaining show. Although losing Chad Johnson will definitely take the entertainment factor down a couple notches.
