Former Florida running back/kick returner Jeff Demps will reportedly sign with the Patriots. Demps won a silver medal at the Olympics as a member of the 4x100 meter relay team (Demps ran in the prelims but not the finals). At Florida Demps ran for 2,470 yards and 23 touchdowns and also returned kicks.

2nd straight week that Gabbert went down the field and threw a TD pass. This time to Blackmon. Gabbert is looking good, if he continues to do well. I think we can compete for the Division.

So Tannehill should've won the job by default today. He didn't look very good, but his competition didn't look any better.

I disagree. Unless he's the clear winner, I don't want to throw Tannehill to the wolves. It might not matter for Philbin, but again Moore is not a good practice player, however he proved last season that he can get the job done and win games. And he's got a lot of respect from his teammates, Philbin has to take this into consideration. Let the rookie learn from the sideline.
