We have found a way to make Samsung players work, we believe. It requires making the static test patterns longer, which I am working on now. Nothing like redoing ~1000 files. ![]() On the plus side, I have used this time to improve four patterns that have been bothering me. |

I see no alignment issues with the 1080p patterns on Spears & Munsil 2nd ed on the OPPO, one presumes these are issues that you're seeing with the 2160p chroma patterns on your nascent UHD disc? I've got other UHD test patterns (Mehanik, Masciola) and they don't seem to show any heavy-duty chroma issues, but then I've not put the same pattern up on two of my players at the same time for an A-B comparison.
PS Please ask OPPO to implement the MaxCLL/MaxFALL metadata viewing that the Pannys can do!! |

ICYallMI – The Sound of Silence (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9352926/) as part of the San Francisco Film Festival was showcased in the theater at Dolby Headquarters (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...q#post15158468)
in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos - https://sffilm.org/event/the-sound-of-silence/. With the later link, local cinephiles can flick thru the remainder of calendar for upcoming films they may have interest in seeing, albeit not necessarily in DV. |

Laura’s apparently a legend also amongst creatures in the animal world
![]() so I guess she lives a rich and fulfilling lifestyle outside of solely covering feature films, anyway, my feeling is that at least she doesn’t post pictures on social media giving the impression she knows what she’s talking about with regards to the filming of TG:M, like some other fans -> ![]() sorry dude ^, although there are many reasons to love San Diego – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post16144287 that pic of Tom and Jennifer was not shot in San Diego, think more like on the coast about 120 miles north |

Funny thing is that one story yesterday had photos from the past of the cathedral and one was an American student visitor in 1968 lighting a candle. I didn’t recognize her, but it made my hair stand up a little that it was the same year. |

I did ask OPPO if they can report player vs. display-led Dolby Vision. By default, it seems to go to player-led. You want display-led when possible. e.g. when plugged into an LG, force display-led otherwise you get player-led. Player-led is DV low latency mode. I should add that some devices (player or display) also introduce half a pixel of delay when scaling HD to UHD. So we have added those markers on the scaling pattern too. We include both HD and UHD versions of the scaling pattern. So you can test 422 and 444 from your player in source direct vs. scaled and figure out the least destructive path.
