Where they Elites? If not then you got generics from the sound of it.
I buy all my bulk single and double Elites from discmakers. I only buy multi cases like 3 or 4 disc from casetopia as they have a bigger selections.

Elite and Vortex are the two main cases that most studios use.

Discmarkers. I will have to check that place out. As far as the listing in casetopia, it did not say or mention viva oh well check a few links in the op and all the single 3ds look the same

Yep I love discmakers. (sorry typo on my part)

Hmm yeah 3D cases are hard to come by as most are 3rd party sellers or used. I have yet to see any site sell them at "new". I would try ebay as well. You might be able to find some there.

Thanks for the report, I'll update the first post as it looks like Casetopia changed the 3D cases to the generic variety.

SpiderRock88, are there any molds/marks on the case you received that state what brand of case they are? Based on the pictures of the hubs on Casetopia's site it would appear the 1 and 2-disc 3D cases might be different brands.

Hm. Good luck with that:

Finally, here’s a more troubling development: Dark Horizons is reporting that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has decided to pull all older film versions of Fantastic Four from digital platforms so that they don’t compete with the studio’s new feature film version, which arrives in theaters on 8/7. This is exactly the kind of thing we’ve been warning for years could and would happen in the all-digital era here at The Bits – content could simply disappear, and thus be unavailable for viewing by consumers, at the whim of a studio or content creator. That can’t happen with physical media, of course. Disc-based content can go out of print, sure, but the existing discs are still out there. But if we move to an all-digital ecosystem for digital entertainment, someone else gets to choose what content you have access to and when you have access to it. And we have a serious problem with that.

That sounds like its just being pulled from being sold. Shouldn't effect if you already own it. Same as discontinuing a disc.

But...it does effect those that didn't have it that want to buy it in the future.
Unlike a disc that can be resold (granted at much higher cost) a digital copy can not be "resold" if it has been redeemed already. Thus leaving your only options to watch, buying a DVD/BD or down loading it illegally.

Unless of course after the movie has come out they just "re enable" it on the streaming sites.

Completely agree with you but for me it just comes down to convenience and space. I had a bd collection of over 1000 titles and it just started taking up too much room. Also even if I had the bd sitting right there I would still watch it on iTunes on Vudu as it was just easier.

Is there anywhere you can by transparent black bases???

By that I mean a black case (solid black on top and bottom) with a transparent or at least translucent cover-area so if I were to print a double sided cover I'd be able to see the other side when the case was opened?

Scanavo has a Vixible case which has a transparent center but I've never seen such a case let alone one in other colors.

That actually works, if no black version exists. Know where I can order that specific model?

I haven't seen any US stores carry them. The only retailers I've seen are European stores or eBay but whether they ship to the US is hit or miss.

You can now purchase a 5-pk of clear Blu-ray cases directly from Twilight Time. Will add the option to the OP.

I may buy some of those clear cases. I've always thought that or solid black would be a much better color than the blue cases.

The TT site has been updated since I last posted. They're now sold $1.25 per case with minimum and maximum quantities being 1 and 42, respectively.

I'm guessing it will be tough to get. Anybody knows where I can get some clear 3D cases just like the one from The Amazing Spider-Man 3D 4-disc? If not then cases like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3D and The Amazing Spiderman 2 3D which are 4-disc stackable

Thanks in advance!
