The Blu-ray Replacement Case Thread

Where can I find 2 disc cases where the second disc is in a center tray, NOT on the left side of the case? (And I dont have to buy in bulk.) I need one for blu-ray (12mm) and one for DVD (clear).

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the following types of cases:

Red 2 disc DVD cases, (For some of the Mondo Macabro releases)
Slim red Blu-ray cases. (Like the one used by Mondo on their LE of Perversion Story)

Hey guys, I'm curious if any of you had any suggestions...I recently got Return to Nukem High Volume 2 in the mail and it has a standard Blu-ray case to it. I was hoping just like Volume 1, Troma would put it in a green case, but no such luck. Is there anyway to find a 2 disc green case similar to the look of the green case for Volume 1? If you guys have any knowledge about it, let me know, thanks!

This is pretty much what happened to me. I placed an order on November 28 and didn't think about it too much because of the holidays. Got curious in late December and checked the status; the order was 'Processing.' I sent an email and got no response. Sent a second email two weeks later (late last night), and pretty quickly got a response saying the order hadn't shipped because the CC hadn't processed. Nice of them to let me know.
I updated the CC info on their site, didn't get any email confirmation of the update, and sent another (the third) email to tell them I'd done the update. Later this afternoon I sent a fourth email, repeating that I'd updated the CC info but hadn't gotten any confirmation from the site. About an hour later I got an automated email confirming the CC charge. I'd thought that this was progress, but now I realize that charging isn't the same as shipping.

I've ordered from casetopia in the past, but not too frequently. I don't remember having problems like this before, but after this I'm done with them.

I’ve only ordered once from casetopia and after the experience I had, I will stay away unless absolutely necessary. I ordered a total of 8 cases, 6 of them being the clear Viva Elite 2-Disc Slim cases, on July 9, and it was paid up-front through Paypal. I didn’t need any of the cases right away, so I kind of forgot about the order. Fast forward to October 4, almost 3 months later, I received an anime thinpack set that needed some of the slim cases replaced, and that’s when it hit me that I had never gotten my casetopia order. I called them immediately. (I have learned through experience with other companies that calling gets things done quicker and more efficiently than email does.) The representative checked on my order after I mentioned that it had been nearly 3 months, and told me that those Viva Elite Slim cases I had ordered were marked as low stock, so they had probably been waiting to get more to ship my order. However, he said that they had to have at least 6 on hand, and that my order would get shipped by the next day at the latest and that he would upgrade the shipping because it should not have taken so long for my order to ship. Thankfully that ended up being the case and I got everything that I ordered.

But come on, if you’re low on stock and expect to delay shipment on an order, it should be expected that a representative at least sends you an email in regards to the delay with an estimated ship date. Especially when it was paid up-front! For customers to have to call about an unshipped order 3 months later is absolutely ludicrous and inexcusable!

This really caught me off guard. I've been wanting to replace a lot of cases and was surprised they no longer carry them. They're pretty expensive through casetopia and a lot of folks seem to have bad experiences with their service.

What's the best place to get a good deal these days for at least 50+ or so viva elites in the US?

I'll second these guys, Megadiscstore. They also have an eBay store (which is where I buy from them).
They're out of Canada which at first made me think it might take a while for my order to get here in the US, but their shipping is unbelievably fast!
They've turned over all my orders in a day (on weekdays) and always ship as stated above bubble-wrapped & shrink-wrapped in a box.

I've also used Casetopia over the years, and like everyone here, they are so hit and miss - most of the time I need to email them to even send out my order. I'd rather pay a little bit more to Megadiscstore for top notch customer service.

Guess I'll go with mds. Castetopia has a lot of bad reviews on here and they've been out of stock for the entire two weeks or so that I've been looking for the viva elite single-disc versions.

You'll be amazed at how good MDS is - I only wish they had 3 Disc 4K cases but they don't carry them.

I would recommend Mega Disc Store / Goodwood E-Shop for replacement cases. There have been many recent posts about how unreliable Casetopia is these days.

Ought to be. I bought bunch of cases from them in the past, and all Viva Elite cases (1, 2 & 3 disc cases in blue & clear) are the same size.

It is and it isn’t. I’ve only ordered from them twice. The first time was directly from their website. I didn’t hear anything for about a week after I placed my order, so I emailed them asking if there was any delay, and within a couple hours, I got a response with tracking info.

Same thing happened with my second order, which was placed through their eBay store.

So, it’s a pain I had to contact them to get the ball rolling, but at the end, it’s not a big deal.

I just clip the lock down when I get them and never use it again so it doesn’t wear out. Cases still seem solidly closed with the lock disabled. Disney titles often ship this way. Not sure why it wouldn’t look right, seeing the spine should be facing out anyway.

I started getting these (they’re Vortex Eco Lite) via the Verbatim-branded 30pack on Amazon, to replace my Viva eco boxes.

Received my first order from MegaDiscStore and I'm impressed with not only the service, but the packaging. I ordered 60 UHD cases and the cases came in two individual bundles (28 manufacturer wrapped + 2) wrapped in stretch wrap and then bubble wrapped. Both bundles were placed in a corrugated box.

Order shipped from Ontario, CA on Monday and arrived today (Friday) via UPS Standard. Below are some pictures of the packaging.
