Does anyone else have the same issues I am having with Casetopia? I will place an order, and the money will be pending out of my bank account. However, the order will never end up shipping, and the money will go back in my account after a few days. I just placed a second order to try it again, and it seems like it is doing the exact same thing.

The trick that I have found is to contact them the day after you order to tell them to stay in contact with you about the status of the order, and they will eventually ship it and let you know. However, this is the first time in a long time where they have gone back to not shipping out my order and refunding me without any notice.

Does anyone else have this same issue or is it just me?

I've had issues with Casetopia before, and had found some success by sending them reminder emails, but hadn't ever had money automatically returned to my account. My current order is headed that way, but I initiated the request for refund through PayPal because it's been a month since I placed my order and Casetopia hasn't shipped or responded to any of the emails I've sent.

I'd been willing to put up with the higher-than-usual need for communication in order to get the better selection and prices, but I guess I'm done with them at this point.

I had found a backup website, Blu-rays for Everyone, however A. It usually will have the cases I want out of stock and B. It costs more for the cases, albeit shipping does cost less than Casetopia. Are there any other sites that sell replacement cases (like the same cases that Casetopia and BFE sell, not the common square ones)?

I've called and spoke to the guy that runs Casetopia a couple months back, he was pretty nice and helpful, I had told him I placed and order and was looking for the 3-disc Blu-ray cases and he said he had just got some in, so it was nice to actually speak to someone and not send an email that won't get responded to.

That sucks, thanks for your help!

Same issue here with Casetopia. Placed an order on 3/27 for some 3-disc flipper 4K cases (can't stand the stackers Disney uses). Emailed a few times. Finally got a response and a shipping email last night.

Have tried calling, but I only ever get the "mailbox full" message. Other than the delays, I have no other issue whatsoever with Casetopia.

Did you get any response to your emails before the shipping notification? I placed my latest order exactly three weeks earlier (3/6), and I haven't gotten any response to the multiple emails I've sent. (The order before this one, I sent a "just checking to confirm that you got the payment" email a day or two after placing the order, and the order shipped soon after that.) After four weeks and four ignored emails, I've given up and have started the dispute process through PayPal. I expect that this avenue will also get zero response.

My order included a variety of 4K disc cases. Although all of them were reported as In Stock, I wonder if Casetopia may sometimes have shortage issues which cause orders to be delayed (or as another person noted, cancelled with no explanation).

No, the only response I got was in an email that came through at the same time as the shipping email.

I placed an order at Casetopia. 2 weeks went by without any shipment or update. Sent an email asking for one and was ignored. Few days later sent one demanding an update within 24 hours or id begin a paypal dispute and got my order shipped out within 2 hours and an email thanking me for my business. It arrived a couple days later.

The prices are amazing, the shipping is too high and the customer service too annoying. Dunno if i want to buy from them again.

Update #2

My complete collection overhaul case replacement project is coming along splendidly. I really had no idea how good of an opportunity this really was for me. I have 25% of the entire collection finished now. at this point, 26/540 have further need of replacement if I want to be a completest. I do. Most of those are just black 4K Viva Eco-Box upgrades. I have found myself using Viva Elite cases mostly. I have almost as many Amaray Vortex case varieties, but have mostly been using them when there is some proper slipcover or artwork fitment issues. There are some oddball cases in there. No idea who makes them. It would have been nice I found more 3+ disc cases in the hoard, but I am just adding them to the list as I go. Also, I probably have absorbed nearly 25 DVD's into the collection as custom combo disc sets. Shelf space reduction has been minimal.

Amaray - no holes
15% Single hub
7% Double hub

Viva - no holes
15% Single hub
12% Double hub

Eco cases with holes
25% single hub
25% double hub

Remaining
1% 3D/stackers/flippers/slims

So that leaves me with approximately 600 solid cases to work with. My collection has 1200 blu-ray SKU's. I will be pulling each and every item off the shelf and inspecting the case. Consolidating where I can. Recycling damaged cases. Replacing anything with eco holes with a solid case. Keeping a list to keep track of cases that could use an upgrade, but I do not currently own. The list will be for a future order. For instance maybe I will find a 10 disc case with a broken hub. Maybe I find instances where I could consolidate 2 cases into one single case, like blu-ray special bonus discs left over after a 4K upgrade, if I order a replacement case with 5 hubs or whatever. When finished with this project, I should have over 1000 eco-box style cases left over. Used condition of course. Probably going to Ebay with them, as I don't think the collectors here are interested. Likely I will list them in groups of 100. If they don't sell, then back to the thrift shop they go.

I got curious as to where Casetopia is located, so I did a Google search on the customer service phone number. The first item in the results list was a link to the Better Business Bureau page:
https://www.bbb.org/us/tn/chattanoog...-0483-40110492

The thing that surprised me most was that Casetopia responded to many of the complaints (the most recent being on March 22), usually with an apology and statement that the order had been shipped.

I can't understand how it's easier for Casetopia to respond to BBB complaints than to reply to customer service emails or JUST FILL THE ORDER WHEN IT'S PLACED.

The guy who said you can't replace them is wrong. Although it does take some careful removing to get the cracked tray off (they are usually glued down hard), and then use the same spots (to cover up marks) to glue a good tray back on. But I've done this myself, using trays from other disposable sets.

But since you're looking for many, I'm assuming you want to make custom sets or something.

Anyway, it's fully possible to buy these trays separately. Just google for "digipack tray" and so on. 2-disc trays are harder to find though, and they are usually DVD case sized.

I did however find a site selling the exact same tray you pictured. I got no idea if the site's good or not though.

I know this is a bluray replacement thread, but would anyone have a line on old 22 mm 2-disc dvd cases at all? I've been looking around, but not having much luck without getting a 4-6 disc case.

I also think their shipping costs are too high, but when factored into their low case prices it's not too bad. That said, if there was another viable competitor I wouldn't hesitate to switch over.

Yes, thanks so much! & yes, I am designing some sets and I need some of these. I'd say like 5.

Thank you to those who talked about Casetopia. I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who has experienced problems with them.

With that said, are there any other websites that sell the same cases that Casetopia does and do not experience the same type of issues (shipping delays, etc)? I know of Blu-rays for Everyone, but as I had said, usually the cases I want aren't in stock and the case prices are higher (although shipping is lower than Casetopia). I'm not a fan of those cases with the "square" spines and would prefer official Blu-ray cases.

I placed an order with Casetopia almost a month ago, sent an email a while back asking for a status update but never got a response, called yesterday and got a "voicemail full" message but got through today and they told me it'd ship today. They mentioned the "Viva Elite Double Disc 4K Ultra Black Blu-ray Case 12.5mm" were out of stock and that was holding it up (site says in stock though) so maybe that's an issue? Calling them def should speed up getting your order out but you might have to call a few times.

Do you mind sharing the date of your order, and how many of the Double Disc cases you ordered? I placed my last order on March 6, and it included five of the 2-disc 4K cases (along with five other case types). Everything was listed as In Stock when I placed my order.

I've tried to place larger orders with Casetopia to minimize the total hit on the shipping, and with some stupid hope of making it "worth their while" to package and ship the stuff. That may work against me if I order multiple case types and the "In Stock" info on their site isn't reliable. The fact that I've felt the need to strategize like that, or that we're discussing tactics on How To Get Your Order, makes me appreciate how absurd the situation is.

Ordered 15 of them on 3/24. For what it's worth, it did not ship today, so who knows.
