I've seen some people consolidating their collections and removing the cases. Some store them in bins out of the way (garage, attic, etc). Others just get rid of the cases. I started collecting physical media again in early April. I've done some bulk buys and flea market/pawn shop buys and have a few disc only blu's I'd like to put in case. I saw a listing on fbm early on about an hour from me and I didn't think about grabbing them at the time. 314carpenter had 200+ available for cost of shipping the box, but his deadline was 4/3 and he dumped them.

Anyone else have any batches of 1 and 2 disc blue cases they're getting rid of? Lowest I've found them new online is about $0.55 per case buying 100 at a time. I don't mind doing this, but I'm always a deal seeker and If I can pay $10-$20 bucks for a big box of used cases going to the trash, I would rather do that. Thanks.

Any good spots to buy replacement 4K cases? Fed up with my 4K LOTR sets that has the weakest disc holders I've ever seen. Moved the Extended Edition discs to my EE boxset in place of the standard Blus, but now I need a spot for the theatrical 4K discs.

4K cases are a rip. Best "deal" I've seen is probably larger quantities ordered from Megadiscstore on the Fleabay. If anyone has a better source, so tell.. because I need some more Elite (non-eco) doubles.

That's actually quite good. I assume these are 'generic'.. Quality alright? How about their blu cases? Thanks for sharing this.

I bought 100 of these 2-disc blue cases. Thick and sturdy… love them.

https://www.amazon.com/Standard-Capa.../dp/B00DCKU7US

I take a lot of 1-disc blu’s and move them to these cases if I have the DVD as well. Rather add the DVD to my blu than sell the DVD for a buck!

I went and bought another 100 and also 100 1-disc for any bulk pickups with no cases, and also 50 4-disc cases because I hate the stacking 2-disc cases that come with 3 or 4 movie discs, 2 on each side.

I was looking for some 3 disc Viva Elite 4K cases and it looks like Vinegar Syndrome sells them for a decent price. Due to the shipping, it would make sense to purchase with another order or buy several.

Be sure to let us know how all of your cover-art sheets fitted into your new cases after you've switched them all out.

I kinda prefer 11mm cases now. Many of the 12mm 'generic' ones I've bought over the years from different distributors (the ones with the sharp corners on the spine side.. I'm sure they've been pretty much the same case design among all of them) came with or developed a bend/curve to them where they no longer lie perfectly flat. The 11mm is a different design and I've had better luck with them.

since this thread is over 227 pages long, how good are the multi-disc "megadisc" branded ones?? I'm in need of a bunch of 5-7 disc cases to store big series (like to get rid of the horrible Babylon 5 cases etc) and didn't know if they were solid quality, or if I should spend the extra $10 for a pack of Viva Elite 5-7 disc cases

Hell, i need 8 to swap out with my GOT box set. if thats is the average price i might just cave and pick up blu ray black cases (10 for $30 )

Weird. I have a handful of those style hub cases from back in the 2010 era. They never had any problems fitting discs with me. I just checked on mine and I can pop a disk in and out with actually less pressure than a vortex or Viva elite

Very pleasing to look at and doesn't have that cheap and flimsy look of common 4k case. Looks and feels very durable and sturdy
did you ever find out?

If you're still looking for an answer, I can help. The case is pretty sturdy; it's comparable to Viva's, I'd say. The hubs that hold the discs are questionable, though. If there's one on the left side of the case (such as in a 2/4/6/etc.-disc configuration), I find that it doesn't hold the disc particularly well more often than not. The other hubs are fine, though (and thus any odd-numbered combinations don't have the issue). They also don't have the standard clasp that holds the flipper tray like Viva, Vortex and others do. Instead, theirs is almost like a box where the hinge resides.

thanks....I looked at the hubs from pictures and wasn't wild about it so I went with the 5 disc vivas.

This might be a long shot, but I'm in search of a replacement case for the Rugrats complete dvd collection. It's a clear 26 discs case but they're all stacked. It's trash. Anyone have suggestions?

Anyone know where I can buy just swing trays that have a hub on both sides? It would need to be the longer swing trays as the clips that hold them in place are closer to the top and bottom of the inside of the case, basically not where the viva elite clips are for swing tray placement

I am also curious about these as well because they have clips to hold swing trays and I'm looking for the swing trays that go into these.

Obviously they're sleeves and not cases, but I'm curious how people are liking or not liking T3l/tarifold sleeves these days. There were concerns in the past of the material sticking to discs. So it sounds like discs might need to be individually packed in paper sleeves as an added protection layer. Saw a fairly recent YT vid where it looks like the company has done some slight rebranding. It's weird how they charge twice as much for blu sleeves versus dvd, though, and I'm not sure why. Also curious if there are any codes greater than 15% off.
