Hm, don't have that problem here. I get far more damage putting those slips back on. The only slips I keep are the lenticular ones. The others get trashed: redundant artwork.

I'll take the slip.
Of the 80 Blu-ray Disc's I own, I'd say only a dozen came with a slipcover.

Being all lined up on a shelf, it looked odd to me... a slip here, a slip there.
So I dumped all my slips... looks more uniform now.

As far as "abrasion" goes, never been an issue for me....maybe if I had a rental store it would be.

If you're tearing the plastic on your case by putting the slipcover back on, you're clearly The Incredible Hulk. Or physically challenged.

Or maybe the slips too tight over the case?

The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D and Dances With Wolves are just 2 examples.

But go ahead and pretend you know everything since it amuses you.

So I ended up getting the Amaray case version of Battle Royale instead of the book. And even after an exchange, I'm still left with a broken case. Are any of the cases available on Amazon a suitable replacement?

Finally tracked down a double disc Criterion-esque case for Ben Button. Got it for $4.xx free shipping from Casetopia on eBay. The cover art does not look bad, just obviously smaller than the rest, but not by much. I prefer this over the standard clear case.. Sorry for the large pics!!

I'm doing the very same thing for Benjamin Button, though I'm putting the insert all the way down in the case sleeve, which will line up the spine number and 'Criterion Collection' rectangle in the lower half. There'll be more empty space up top, but I've thought about putting a solid piece of black paper (full sleeve sized) behind it.

Need a little assistance on getting a replacement case for my Immortal Edition Highlander DVD that will accommodate 3 discs. The case is .75" wide and 7.5" L and unfortunately there isn't anywhere to hold my UK BD. Usually I'd probably go the other way around, but I like how this one displays on my shelf more than the UK BD case. Thanks in advance.

Definately going to pick a few of these up and convert a few unneccesary big collection boxes down to smaller sizes. Plus it gives me a chance to check out some of those FANTASTIC Custom Covers!!

OK, let's try this another way. I did a quick google search and see that Sleeve City has what I need. Does anyone have feedback on them?

Yeah, I want to do this with the Lethal Weapon box set. The box is clunky and the cover is boring.

See posts 8404 and 8405. I've been wanting to do this myself. It's perfect for the person on the last page who got the two disc Criterion-like case.

I thought about doing the exact same thing. I have the 12 Angry Men Criterion and I switched the artwork just so I could see what it looked like. I liked the way it looked, and it definitely looks more Criterion-esque with that case instead of the 2-disc Viva Elite version.

Hey guys. I just wanted to let you know that PCX has started shipping to the US. Here is an email I received from them a few days ago.

Quote:
Yes we do, however freight from here to US is quite expensive relative to US freight (we need to know exactly what goods to give you a quote as it is based on weight and measurement) . As an international customer we don't accept credit cards for payment due to the risk of credit card fraud. However we will accept an EFT bank transfer (wire) payment which carries an additional AUD$20.00 which is charged by banks for all international transfers.

Best regards, Rod

Just another one of my "semi-often" requests for a source of green cases (or other colors, if they're available).
