I'm with ya, aim! I like the rounded corners, smoother feel and prefer the non-embossed logo/banner.

'Course, what trumps all is... no waves! Or as one person here so aptly and ickily put it, veins. Ewww. In a store you can check, of course, but getting some wavy-ass piece from eBay or Amazon Market, it's like, "Dude! You shoulda told me!"

So yeah, between Vortex, waves, ecos and the (actually quite rare) crack, Disc Makers has gotten some business from me!

An addition to what I'm getting and can be ordered (no minimum order quantities):

Black
Transparent
White opaque
Red opaque
Green transparent

Here's a pic but the white one's missing.

See above posts, the company's only dealing with clients in the Blu-ray/DVD production industry. But I can now order without mnimum order quantities so if you need anything just send me a PM and I can give you a quote.

Wow, I'm drooling. Will PM once I've had a look at my collection. So they're all 11mm? I know you mentioned the black ones being 11mm. Does anyone know if 11mm is the standard size of the US Vortex cases, like the ones used by Sony?

I measured mine precisely, to build a Photoshop template, and here's the numbers for all of them...

Vortex 1 & 2-Disc Case

10 & 7/10" x 5 & 7/8"
3210 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1540 px each, spine 130 px (10.83 mm)

Vortex 3 & 4-Disc Case

10 & 23/30" x 5 & 7/8"
3230 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1540 px each, spine 150 px (12.5 mm)

Vortex 5 & 6-Disc Case

11" x 5 & 7/8"
3300 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1540 px each, spine 220 px (18.33 mm)

Are they only Vortex (as in the pic)? I'd love a green Viva Elite case.

They're all 11mm but I can also get transparent 14mm Amaray for either 1 or 2 discs.
Vortex cases have the extra closing latch, these don't.
I'm not a big fan of the Elites myself and prefer an embossed logo.

Can the latches on these cases be folded inside and snapped down, like the Vortex brand?

I've been trying hard to look for Amaray single disc case for the last two [2] weeks but to no avail. It's hard to reside in a far away place such as ours, the Philippines.

Like I said, these don't have latches since they're not Vortex cases. But you probably thought I was talking about the Amarays

No, I was referring to your post about the Vortex latch panels, but I didn't catch your comment about the multi-color cases not having them.

Perhaps things got a bit confusing when RJ Smoove assumed they were Vortex cases. To which I replied (I should've used a quote ): "Vortex cases have the extra closing latch, these don't."
So, the 11mm cases (black opaque, white opaque, red opaque, non-color transparent and green transparent) I get are not Vortex cases.
Next to those I can get 14mm non-color transparent Amaray cases for 1 or 2 discs.

Hope it's clear now

Thanks!

I prefer the Vortex logos as well, it's a shame most artwork is designed for Viva Elites.

Ahhh, they looked like Vortex cases. Still, they're 11mm and have the embossed logo so that's good enough for me! I don't use the latch anyway.

I realize now that this is not the place to offer cases for sale.
The information is spread over a couple of pages now and I've had PMs from people asking about cases I can't even supply.
I therefore would like to announce that to make things clear for everyone I'm starting a topic in the Trade forum next week where I will post the prices for cases including shipping to various countries.

So I was able to score a copy of The Third Man on blu-ray from my local library. The disc is in pristine shape, but it didn't come with the case/box art/booklet. I e-mailed criterion and they said they could hook me up with the case and booklet but no box art. Does anybody know where I could possibly find the box art for this?

Thanks!

Perhaps someone in the custom covers sticky thread can help you out.
This thread is about plastic Blu-ray cases, not the artwork.

Base on the trademark disc hub design as seen in the pictures you posted the cases appear to be Amaray cases.

I am also EXTREMELY interested in some colored cases. I'll be watching for your thread and will also shoot you a PM.

Could you announce here when you've started the topic? I'm definitely interested in the cases I PM'd you about, I don't think I asked for ones you couldn't supply.
