What 4 disc case would fit in a slipcover of a 2 disc case?
You would have to make one yourself by putting together parts from two different cases in three easy steps:
1. Get one of the new style 3 disc cases (the one that has places for discs on the front and the back, with the swing hinge that only holds 1 disc)
2. Get one of the old style 3 disc cases (the one that only has a place for a disc on the back, with the swing hinge that holds 2 discs)
3. Swap the swing hinges....and voila, you now have a standard width case that holds four discs! (and a leftover case that only holds two discs, oh well...)

Just received my first order from casetopia today. I placed the order on Monday or Tuesday. Nothing special, just five Viva Elite 1-discs and 3 Elite 2-discs. Will definitely use them again when I need more

Is anyone actually selling the "new style" cases?

i know they have been mentioned here several times, but i just want to remind people about diskmakers. i have used them several times, and while they can not meet everyone's needs, for straight plain vortex and viva elite, i do not believe you will find a better deal or better service (but you do have to purchase a minumum of 25 cases).

here is the link:

I have read many pages of the thread, does anyone know if one can still get the solid cases? I ordered last year from Discmakers BDR020-00001 but they don't have them anymore. They were the cases with the solid covers not the eco soft that can crush and crack a disc, plus they had the snap to open them and the embossed logo. I am wondering if all of these "eco" versions are the flimsy soft-in-the-middle cases rather than the solid harder plastic (the later being what I want). Thanks.

When I ordered from Discmakers a few months ago they still had the solid, non-eco, Viva Elite cases but they only have the eco variety for the Vortex cases. I'm not aware of anyone having the non-eco Vortex cases anymore. It seems Viva still makes both types, eco and non-eco cases, but Vortex no longer makes the non-eco case type.

Very nice, now if only some one will carry the black viva elites. At least this is a start.

If anyone has spare orange or green (or black even!) cases available, I would happily buy some from them. Discmakers doesn't seem to ship to Europe and I don't need 20 of each.

Edit: or then I can use Nisei's services as I noticed his thread now

If anyone knows the spine thickness for the cases of both Batman Anthology USA and Star Trek: 6 Film Collection USA, again, thanks! They're the ultra slim VIVAs and I was gonna do some custom covers. Many of some movies which I'm not gonna do custom editions for or put the OST CD with.
Was also going to buy a 6 disc Viva just so I could have the Ocean's Trilogy with the OST CDs. But more Vortex to match the Vortex. I don't want any Eco cases.

They're 6mm (0.236") thick.

OK, many posts on many pages here, but I need to ask anyway:

I am looking for the old-style Vortex or Scanavo thick-walled cases. Is there a recommended source? Thank you.

Don't know about the Scanavo cases but Vortex stopped making the standard 1 and 2-disc cases and switched to the eco variety quite some time ago. You'll be hard pressed to find the original style cases anymore.

I just ordered 100 from a place called Polyline cost me 35 bucks i ordered the 1-disc vortex case with the raised bluray logo not the stamped, i only mention that because they give you the option. They will quantity or singles. They average around 29 to 40 cents each for various single disc cases. They also carry 2,3,4, and 5 disc cases as well. I didnt get ecocases either they are thicko walled vortex cases as you can see on their website.

Thanks. It seems you can only order in lots of 100, which is fine for the single-disc cases, but I only need about 20 2-disc cases.

On this site?: http://www.polylinecorp.com/polylinecorp.asp

I'm seeing the piece checkbox, but it says 100 per carton. They must have changed since you ordered.

from what I can tell they ^^^^^^ no longer have 1 or 2 disc original NON-ECO Vortex cases. I am amazed they even still had them a few weeks ago. I would have ordered some for sure. I really need some original Vortex dual well cases to switch out with my Disney 2 disc ecos. makes me so mad they they are no longer making the "real" Vortex cases anymore.
