I think this is similar to the one used for my Monster House 3D and Chronos Blu-rays. Are there other options that you guys know about?
That's pretty much it for now. The clear Viva Elites do exist but they're hard to come by.

That eBay seller is the same company as Casetopia. I usually check eBay and Casetopia to see which is cheaper at any given moment. Sometimes Casetopia is cheaper and sometimes eBay.

You'd have a tough time detaching and reattaching the clear plastic for the inserts. Unless you literally just want the top and bottom to be the color you want?

He's talking about how would you paint the outside with the plastic still attached (that holds the artwork).

I don't think it detaches so easily without stretching. Even if you could detach and reattach the clear plastic, I think it'd be more trouble than it's worth compared to just buying a colored case.

Just use some packing tape or something so it would just peel off when you are done.

You'd just need to mask the clear bit off inside and out.

I doubt the finish would be very durable and it would be prone to shelf-wear but if you've got a few tins of spray paint and lacquer in the garage it might be a interesting way to spend five minutes.

That's a pretty ambitious endeavor, that's for sure.
Your best bet might be to hang the case by it's clear jacket and use a ruler as a "painters edge" where the plastic meets the case. Probably better to use a brush, unless you have a nice air spray kit to restrict the "cone" of paint spray. Keep in mind it doesn't have to be perfect, as most of that area will be covered by the sleeve insert.
Best to practice on some of those horrible eco cases. At least they would, finally, be worth something.
Also if you need some eco cases, I've got dozens!

Thanks for the confirmation. I was just hoping that somebody out there may have found something that I overlooked.

EDIT: Does anyone have experience with this case? http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Repla.../dp/B002GK3C3Y

Looks like it comes from here originally: https://www.squaredealonline.com/a.asp?s=YPF

Interesting find. Those appear to be generic cases and according to that picture are identical, although blue, to some on cases a few of the titles I have came in. The quality is ok and the spine is completely flat (no rounding of the corners) similar to the way the spines are for DVD cases.

Would you mind posting some closeups of your case? The official Square Deal pic is really low-res, and I'd like to see the shape of this case in better detail.

Looking for a Viva Elite case which would hold 9 discs. Going to make a custom set for the first nine DC Animated Movie Universe Collection. Viva Elite because it's Warner Brothers and not Vortex which isn't. Or I was considering using a 9 disc DVD Amaray styled case instead.

You can also try their store direct:
[Show spoiler]http://megadiscstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_38&produ cts_id=346&zenid=q0sqjsb33c8dgefabfp1cvnap6
which will save you a few bucks. I just bought the 10-disc case 2-pack from them yesterday. I need shelf space so I'll put my individual James Bond/Star Trek/Harry Potter movies in the 10-disc cases.

I went ahead and placed an order from 1 Stop Outlet at Amazon. I'll post pics when I receive the package in a couple days.

Default Clear Blu-ray Cases?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum but I didn't see a packaging sub-forum.

Anyway, I recently bought a Blu-Ray 3D used and it should have been in a clear case (it's a Sony title) and I am looking for a clear BD case...

I found these

http://www.meritline.com/14mm-frosty...--p-45035.aspx

But, I'm not sure if this is what I want. What's throwing me off is the "frosty clear" part. Is that the same thing as a Blu-Ray 3D case or is barely see through?
