Thanks for everyone's continued help detailing case types!

Which leads to.....minor OP Update:

In addition to the general retailer links, I've added direct links to each case type (1-disc, 2-disc, etc) within each retailer for easier accessibility...not a huge thing, but trying to make finding/buying cases as easy as possible for everyone

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a seven disc empty Blu-ray case? (The type Lost - Season 2 comes in)

Thanks a lot in advance.

Did you order this item?
http://www.discmakers.com/shop/ItemD...D=BDR025-00001
The specs show these as being 6mm thick. Or did you get the standard size 12.5 mm thick cases from them? Where are they listed?
Thanks
Jon

Nothing wrong with a bump I just don't think anyone knows where to get one (yet). It seems the closest we've come across are the 6 disc cases listed in the OP

Posted this in one of the other threads yesterday. It's difficult keeping track of what threads are being used.

Some spec sheets I received from MWV yesterday. Apparently there's an Eco Vortex case coming out. It can be seen in both the 11mm spec sheets.

Ok... gotta admit I'm a little lost. I just need some single-disc cases, and I like the ones with the raised BD logo and the fold-over side. Are those the Vortex cases? Where's the best place to get them? The different types have me a little bewildered....

*edit* Are these the correct thickness? I'd like to get the order out today.

The Vortex (which is what are in your link) are the correct cases, Aramis. Sleevetown's single disc cases are also the same way (raised logo with side flap). I've ordered from both companies several times now, and prefer US Plastic because I believe the shipping price was cheaper (based on the quantity I was buying)

Thanks! I had a few different ones and was comparing the Vortex case prices. I ended up ordering 25 from Discmakers. I had ordered from Sleevetown back in the beginning, and while I liked them they were pretty expensive. I think that for the amount of cases I wanted it was the same price as US Plastic, but I wasn't sure if the cases were as good since the pics were a little harder to see details on.

I appreciate the feedback on the Vortex cases- there are a lot more options available now than the two or three back when I first ordered some spare cases. Also thanks for the thread.

To the point where his posts confused me. I had only heard of Viva/Elite and Amaray before this. Guess I'll stick with the Vortex since that's what Sony uses and is my personal favorite case.

Default Custom Slip Covers?

I asked this in the custom cover art thread and didn't get much of a response, so I figured I'd ask it here, too, since it all kind of goes hand in hand.

I am interested in possible making some custom slip covers for some of my movies. I do not intend to do this for every movie. But I do keep my slip covers that come with some of my movies, and it kind of annoys me when a sequel comes with a slip cover, and the previous movie did not. They just look weird side by side.

So, I would like to possibly make and print up custom slip covers for those instances. However, I am at a loss on how to do this. I.E., the measurements, what material to use, how to cut/fold it to look right, etc.

If anyone has any ideas or advice on this, that would be awesome.

Anyone in Canada bought cases from sleeve town?
I just want to know how much the shipping was for 10 cases?

Another question, are the cases from MegaDiscStore, elite cases?

Thanks

Dynamo - Sounds like a fun project I don't have much knowledge on the subject but I'm sure someone will pop in who does.

Boxter - In regards to the Mega Disc Store cases, zooming in looks like they don't have the security latch on the side, so they very well may be Elite...Primitive might know more so I'll shoot him a PM

This is probably one of those cases where the site has a faulty sales presentation, since the item description notes "Viva brand," thus implying a Viva Elite case, whereas the photo used is definitely NOT of an Elite. The case depicted is what I refer to in my dialup-unfriendly sticky thread as a Six-Ribbed 12.5mm Single-Disc Generic Case. If you look at the disc tray-side of the case, there are six ribs at the top and bottom, with six along the side for a total of 18. A Viva Elite has six ribs at the top and bottom, with three along the side for a total of 15. Meanwhile, a Four-Ribbed 12.5mm Single-Disc Generic Case has four ribs at the top and bottom, with NONE along the side, for a total of eight. I suspect that this site's double-disc case is a four-ribbed generic.

Other features in the photo that tell you that you are NOT dealing with an Elite case are the disc hub button, which doesn't have the four inward-pointing arrows, and the less-prominent "shark fin" molded to the inside of the case spine. Shark fins are designed to minimize "floaters," which are when discs come loose during shipment, either through improper packaging or the breaking of teeth on the disc hub.

Anyhow, I haven't bought cases from this site, so I cannot attest as to what types of cases they are actually selling.

Can I ask how your product arrived from Us Plastic? in terms of condition and how it was packed? Are they singles without any wrapping? individually wrapped? or shrink wrapped bundles?

I ordered some DVD cases from sleevetown and received a number of them with some nicks and scratches on the part that holds the cover art.

Thanks
