The last time I ordered from Discmakers they were the real Viva Elites. Can you explain further what you mean or post photos? This would be good to know.

I ended up replacing mine with all blue cases because 1)I wanted to add some discs to the collection and 2)I hate eco cases.

I ordered viva elites from casetopia and highly recommend that site!

Could you try contacting AB/Shout to see if they'd replace the defective cases? Might be worth a shot.

The cases I received say "Elite" inside, but I don't see the word viva anywhere, and compared to the retail viva elite cases, the discmakers cases are flimsier and seem thinner.

I can snap pics of the differences between the two if needed.

Don't the "real" viva elites only say "elite" in them?! I just recall seeing the word "elite" in the lower left-hand corner, below where the disc would sit (if I remember correctly). I'm not at home right now to confirm, but I thought that was how they appeared.

Unfortunately, Viva has been making the cases thinner, as time goes on, in an effort to reduce the amount of plastic they're using. Any other retailer is bound to have the same thinner cases unless they have some very old stock left.

Yeah.. that's the nature of the business. Make them cheaper and sell them for more. That's why the eco cases even exist. The viva elites I just bought from casetopia seemed to be the exact same as newer blu-rays I've purchased and are definitely way superior to an eco case.

Ok..so I'm not blind then. Haha! I thought that was all it said inside the case.

If you look at the inside center of the case, it will say "viva" with the normal "elite" on the bottom in the normal spot.

They're not Viva Elite cases, but http://www.ebay.com/usr/gamingoutlet sells black blu-ray cases. They're 14mm, though.

You can probably call Disney. $4 for the first item, $1 thereafter. You will need the spine # of the set, printed on the artwork.
