Does anyone know who makes/sells the clear red cases used for the classic slasher collection from 88 Films?
They have switched cases after 9 movies and the new cases look out of place and I would like to buy some replacements.
I've had a look around but I was hoping someone could point me towards the exact type so I don't mess it up.
Thanks

Do you all have an outlet for quality, sturdy cases that could replace the shite eco Elite cases?

Try either casetopia or discmakers.

Looking at Casetopia, what is better than the flimsy crap that the major studios use? I'm guessing just the Criterion case. My recent purchases (MGM [Manhunter] and Fox [Young Frankenstein]) both have Viva Elite, with the recycling logo cutout.

The Scanavo cases would be sturdier or Casetopia carries the non-eco Viva Elites. Looks like Casetopia is currently out of stock on the single disc Criterion cases.

Does anyone know where I can buy 3-disc Viva Elite black cases? My Hobbit Trilogy came in today with a few broken tabs. I know this has been asked before, but I don't want to search the whole thread :P

Well, the regular Blue color Blu cases are my favorite cases - really dig the color, and IMHO the cases are one of the reasons why Blu won out over HD during the format war years ago. The Blue color looks great aesthetically.

The only other color Blu case I have is a red one - it's the Terminator Blu. This looks great, but red is the only other color Blu case I would want...

So, to recap, there are no sources for red or yellow Blu-ray cases (that ship to the US) ?

There are 15mm and 12mm options on eBay. The 15mm ones are the ones that were used for PS3 cases. The 12mm are a darker shade that mirror old HD-DVD cases (but they don't appear to have a logo).

Thanks, but unless I'm missing something, the only red ones on EBay (from easyshopca) have the HD-DVD logo on them.

I've just been buying Verabtim Cases on Amazon to replace the crap cases I get when I order from gohastings. I've been putting my 3Ds in them too since I have them in a separate area. Super cheap, and unlike most people, I don't mind the eco cases.

They've been on backorder for awhile now, but it looks like they finally have an ETA set for January.

There's a guy on eBay with almost every color available (black is out of stock at the moment--check back soon!)

I'm about to order some 6 disc 15mm cases since 4 out of my 9 cases for The X-Files sets are broken in various places. I'm having trouble deciding how many to get, the reason for this is because I don't know the likelihood of them all arriving in perfect condition. Since everyone here is more experienced at this than me, would it be better going with 10?

Here's a photo of some of the colors I've ordered from him. Note that all these were translucent (as he describes in his listing), not solid, so the translucent black is more a dark grey (he listed it as "smoke"), and this red looks a very light red until you place it on something to block the light (then it looks like solid red). I just ordered solid white and solid gold from him, so hopefully I'll be as happy with them as I was with these.

I have to order some as well, is Casetopia the best place to get them? For around 25 cases of various sizes it is going to cost me $13+ for shipping.

Unfortunately it's probably your best option outside of maybe ebay for the larger capacity multi-disc cases. Casetopia used to offer media mail shipping as an option that was very reasonable, but I no longer see that option regardless of my order size.

Bummer, alright, well thanks I appreciate it! I had ordered from Sleeve City USA before but I didn't really like them too well, mainly because their cases are some type of off brand, they are actual Viva's.

Yeah I always use Discmakers whenever possible, but they only have 1, 2, & 3 disc cases available. Sure wish they'd carry higher capacity cases because their shipping fees are so much more reasonable. I paid ~$6 for UPS ground shipping for an order of 50 3-disc cases just this week vs ~$11 to ship 20 3-disc cases from Casetopia this week as well.
