gungadgets sells generic colored cases on eBay but YMMV as to what happens to be in stock at any given time.

Are the cases that Warner uses for the 4 film collections easy to find? I bought Final Destination set and the case is almost split in half and the store doesn't have any more copies or else I'd exchange it

Afraid I've already disappeared too deep down this rabbit hole, but some movies look so much better with different colored cases that I couldn't resist.
are you referring to these?

Yes, they're the standard US size and not the 14mm UK size.

That case design, if it's exactly the same (the Vortex) as the one of the two used in America, is 11mm, not 12.5.

I use those cases (the standard blue one) exclusively for my collection (with a modification) as they have raised points along the edges of the disc, protecting them better than the more common Viva Elite case, which is the thicker case at 12.5mm.

The Viva Elite case does not have those raised edges and if debris gets in between the disc and the case, it is more vulnerable to scratching along the more vulnerable outer edge of the disc. You can often see such scratching along the outer edges with the Viva cases, even with a new disc.

The Vortex cases also have the optional locking side latch.

I bought mine in bulk in 100 quantity for $0.26 each from discmakers.com.

As always, avoid like the plague any of the Viva Ecos with the cut outs if you care about your discs. Absolute penny pinching junk that often ruins brand new discs and their cover art.

Can anyone tell me where I can get the Amaray-like 4-disc cases that Japan uses, especially the ones Toei uses? I thought the 2-disc Vortex ones from Casetopia would be fine, just put a swing tray in the middle, but the stubs are way two high.

I believe if you buy in bulk they offer discounts.
It's a very bad idea to use those open pocketed Eco cases. Cover art can easily be damaged, dust and debris can more easily reach the disc through those open slots, and case to disc contact is typical, greatly increasingly the chances of scratches. Finally such cases are unsurprinsingly flimsy feeling. Very bad idea.

The Vortex cases, including the two disc version, are great for the reasons I described in the post before yours. All cases I know of that go beyond 2 discs hold the discs flat against the swing out holders. The chances of eventually scratching discs held that way are 100% over time and reasonable use.

If i were you I would simply use two Vortex two disc cases instead.

does anyone know if the German seller http://www.ebay.com/usr/movie_and_co...p2047675.l2559 is selling the same cases listed at https://www.kronenberg24.de/?

and how is the quality of these cases? Seems to be the only place to find hard to find black cases and the price seems reasonable?

I don't have them but they appear to be the same. Looking at the pictures for that type of case they are almost identical to, and appear to be a generic version of, the Vortex cases sans the hub and the front/top part of the case.

Too bad that site doesn't seem to ship to the US. They even have the 11mm Viva Elites which seem to be unique to Europe.

The guy that referred me to them says if you email them they will send you a PayPal invoice and will ship to the US but I believe the eBay does too.

Well that's awesome then, I might have to try placing an order since they have a lot that isn't offered in the US.

Sent them an email four days ago and still no response. So much for good customer service.
