Has anything changed in the availability of megapacks in North America? I just received a TV series from the UK (on DVD...sorry to be a bit off topic) and it's a stacker case with two disks in each position. Would love to replace it with one of Tasha Traders (UK) 15-disk megapacks but can't justify spending double for for shipping as for the merchandise.

Now I want replace the ugly standard black and cheap cases of my music dvds, you know like this:

I want clear cases, so the Scanavo are the best?
14mm is the size, right?

Unfortunately, no.

However, I have a few hundred black cases I'm looking to sell. If any of you are interested in them, please PM me for details. Thanks.

Yes, 14mm. Personally, when I think of DVD cases, Amaray and Viva come to mind first, probably because they have greater shares of the market. But they're also currently much harder to find. Those Scanavos are quite nice and with the same hub design as on Criterion Blu cases, I believe. Looks like a very good choice.

I haven't picked that set up yet (I'm waiting for a sale). Is there something different about it than other typical multi-disc Blu-ray cases?

So, I got a replacement case to use for Outlander season 2 because I hate the stacked dics case.. it's 5 disc, but all I could find was 15mm and 22mm, and I know it's bigger than the 15mm ones I got to replace the Daredevil and Jessica Jones cases. I got them today, and the 22mm is huge. I converted myself (and using google) and the normal case it came in is 1.5 centimeters which converts to 15 millimeter, but the 15mm cases are about half an inch too thin and just freely slide out of the slipcover. Is there absolutely nothing in between?

Can you post pics? If the 15mm case is ~0.5 in. too small then that would equate to a 27-28mm case which is larger than 22mm.

Question - I ordered from Casetopia a week ago, and the order still says "Processing". Is this normal for them? I know that some places never bother to update to "Shipped", the package just shows up one day.

Yes. It takes awhile for their items to ship.

How do you tell the size of a Blu-ray case?

I'm looking to replace all of my cases that have stacked discs, but they're not all the same size. For example, my Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4-movie collections have stacked discs, as do some of my Disney movies (like Moana 3D and Wreck-it Ralph 3D). Same with the new That '70s Show set.

I'm pretty sure they're not all the same size lol and I don't want to order the wrong replacements.

There are various ways: experience, calipers, ruler, etc. The Batman and TMNT stacked discs are most likely the 12.5mm Vortex cases although Viva makes a variety too; do the ones you have hold two discs per spindle?

Posting pictures can help identify the appropriate case options.

I should have been clearer lol. I *don’t* want stacked discs and was looking to see if they made cases the same size as ones like TMNT and Batman that aren’t stacked discs.

No, you were clear. Determining the current thickness of the current cases would help to determine suitable replacements.

Vortex only seems to make the 4-disc stackable cases now.

Viva Elite has a 4-disc case, but it's 15mm thick. Some of the studios have released titles in a 4-disc 12.5mm case, but I haven't seen them for sale to the consumer. Some members have pieced together multiple cases/parts to create those type of replacement cases.

The most recent opportunity to do this was in the last batch of Dollar Tree Blu-rays - Safe Haven 3 disc version came in the rare 3 disc case with a disc hub on the front and back of the case and a 1 disc tray for the third disc, which of course can be swapped with a 2 disc tray from any standard 3 disc case.

If you find any in store, give it a shake for weight and make sure the disc tray is in there, there is also a one disc version with different cover art which you will want to avoid.

Has anyone ordered these?

If so, how do they compare with the Viva Elites?

Casetopia was the only place in the US that I've seen carry them, but they're currently out of stock at the moment.

You might be able to find a third-party seller on Amazon, otherwise your best bet would be eBay.
