Has anyone ordered from Casetopia recently and had no problems? I know for a while there it seemed like they were unreliable, but I need a bunch of new cases and they seem to have the best variety.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knew if there are any alternatives to 4-disc stacked regular Blu-ray cases (for sets like the Ninja Turtles or Batman 4-film collections and the Muppet Treasure Island / Great Muppet Caper set). They’re about the size of a regular Blu-ray case (maybe slightly thicker?) and I’d much rather have each disc in its own hub than stacked discs.
However, any non-stack 4-disc case I’ve seen has been way too thick (like the Shrek collection, most TV shows such as Gotham, etc.) and that’s obviously not what I need.

The other type of case I’m looking for is a 4K 4-disc case, like what Logan and Deadpool 2 have. I assume those are more common.

My question would be, is it easier to order from companies like Casetopia directly or through their eBay stores?

I've noticed if you place an order with them, and bug them a week or so after you place it, you'll get a shipping notice later that day...

Not sure how recent you want, but I ordered May 30th and they shipped on June 4th. Didn't have to email them or anything. I ordered some from the website and some from the eBay store at the same time because one wasn't in stock on the other oddly enough... so that may have helped? Not sure.

I tried to find a 4-disc 4K case so hard then but never could find anything but now casetopia has some lol It was for s1 of Stranger Things, but I ended up just getting two 6-disc cases and putting the DVDs in it as well. If only I could find 5-disc BD cases big enough to fit the Outlander slipcovers

Alright maybe I’ll give them a try and hope for the best lol.

What’s the standard size of a Blu-ray case anyway? I notice they have a 14mm 4-disc case but I don’t know if that’s close to the size I want or if that’s the kind that’s way too thick.

I think 12.5 is the standard, but I haven't bought any of those. I've only bought 15mm and they're thicker than a standard case.

I noticed recently that the case designs for Blu-ray in the US are changing from Viva Elite to Finest Products Limited. My Doctor Who Season 19 Set (released 2018) is Viva Elite and the next set in that series Season 18 (released 2019) has a Finest Products Limited Case. The FPL is much better than the Viva. IMO. So maybe they're changing the standard for cases here.
What's the difference?

Does anyone know where to get a standard Viva size US case (11mm?) in red?

I have no idea why it seem to be so hard buying cases for Blu Rays!

The standard Viva case thickness in the US is 12.5mm and the only place I've seen the 11mm variant is in Europe.

Kronenberg used to carry them and colored cases too, but I'm not sure if they still sell them. Some people have mentioned they had success via email and getting them to ship outside of Europe, although it's probably pricey, but they've never replied to any of my emails.

I would say the Finest Products Limited cases are closer, in terms of looks, to the Vortex cases then the Viva ones.

But is that 4-disc case the size of, say, the Logan and Deadpool 2 4-disc cases? I tried measuring my cases at home with the tape measure but honestly I don’t know if I’m doing it correctly lol. I just don’t want to go to all the trouble of ordering and waiting and finding out they aren’t even the correct size.

They've always had a 3 disc case. That's nothing new.

Hmm, I seem to remember them using the 4-disc stacker cases for both, but maybe I'm not remembering correctly.

You'd have to measure the thickness of the case. Off hand, I'd say they're the same thickness (15mm), but I'd had to find my copy and measure to be certain. Three disc cases tended to be 12.5mm with 4-6 disc cases being 15mm.

Deadpool 2 4K is definitely not 15mm, 15mm is what I've bought most of, I can spot them from a mile away lol I don't have Logan 4K, but the BD case is also the same size.

You are correct, I just checked my copy and it's 12.5mm with one swing tray and a hub on the front and back of the case. The ones that Casetopia show have two swing trays and no hubs on the front and back.

I found the solution to my problem with the four-stacked-disc sets. I fortunately have a few three-disc cases that have a disc hub on the front and back covers, so that’ll just be a simple manner of swapping the flip tray from a single-disc to a double-disc.

So now my current thing is to find four-disc 4K cases that are regular (12 mm) sized lol.

Sorry, I mean NOT from casetopia. Shipping to Canada for 10 pcs is as expensive as the case itself. Plus I’ll have to pay an additional $15 for brokerage fee and duties.
