who produces double disc cases with the thickest plastic in the US? I don't mean spine width , but actual thick durable plastic. VIVA Elite used to be pretty good, but aren't as thick as they were in the beginning.

Casetopia sells the double Criterion cases from Scanavo. They're pretty sturdy.

These kind I find to be pretty thick and durable.

Who is the manufacturer of the cases used for Olive Films? Those are the best I have seen recently.

I've gotten a couple of these kind with Code Red and Dark Force titles and Garagehouse Pictures use this brand of case, but use clear ones.

Seems like the clear Scanavo 4-disc cases are out of stock. Anyone have any idea if/when there might be more?

I apologize if this is not allowed, but I was wondering if someone could help with a DVD case... it's for the Palm Director's label series, basically a thick clear case. The DVD itself only has a single disc, but it looks like there is a place on the spine to have a second disc tray fit in. This Reddit thread has some pics of the outside - thank you in advance!

My first experience with Casetopia hasn't been too great.

I ordered 50 black Scanavo single disc cases from them on 8/25/20. As of today, 20 days later, nothing from them. No package, no emails informing me of delays, etc.

So I sent them a polite email.

They promptly responded and told me they would ship the order today. And gave me tracking information.



Is it normal for them to actually wait for you to follow up on your order before mailing you your order?

Casetopia is very unreliable. It's some one-man jerkweed operation at a storage shed who is completely over his head.

I've done 4 orders with them and every one I had to follow up after 1 week like you said. And every time, they respond within a few hours with confirmation and tracking information. It's a bit annoying, but it does seem to work if you just reply directly to the initial confirmation email and ask for an update. It also seems to help if you pay with PayPal and (casually and politely) mention it in your follow up. Again, an annoying extra step, but they are really the only ones that offer a lot of types cases at reasonable price.

The couple times I've ordered from them I had to email them and ask about my order and like you as soon as I did they shipped it out that day. Seems to be normal for them. I don't mind it to much since I get my stuff and they have good prices on cases.

Nah. There are other options available. GoodWoodeShop / MegaDiscStore and their ebay shop being the main one. Their prices are close to Casetopia's prices and their orders don't come with the hassle Casetopia's orders come with.

Trying to replace my Halloween Deluxe boxset from Scream Factory's black cases with the same exact case, black viva elites, but non eco. My conclusion is that you can't find them anymore or perhaps you've never been able to. And that my best bet would probably be the black cases by Scanavo on Casetopia. I haven't seen anything else come closer to what I'm looking for. Sound about right? Would appreciate some feedback. Thanks

I don't know of any place that offered replacement black Viva Elite Blu-ray cases other than a few sites that cannibalize cases from existing releases in small numbers which lends to higher prices.

I have seen black 3D and UHD cases, but the standard black Blu-ray case has never been widely available to my knowledge.

From what I've gathered, Severin Films uses the black Viva Elites for their releases and sells them on their website (the picture they have is of a different case, apparently). They're a bit pricey at $3.50 each, but they do sell the 1 and 2 disc versions.
