Or you could buy couple of copies of something like Pray for Death for cheap and flip the disc on ebay. |

Sorry for the grunch, but I figure some people reading this thread would be the ones to ask.
Do you guys have a go to case for long term storage (say 20+ years) that are durable and space saving. I don’t need to hold the artwork or any booklets or anything, but I need to be able to label them. My Priorities Are: 1: Archival Quality (i.e if I don’t ever open the disk in 20 years the case isn’t going to be greasy, degraded, and the disc will be just as it was) 2: Durable (the case itself isn’t flimsy, have crappy hinges, crappy hubs etc) 3: As space saving as possible without sacrificing #1 While I general prefer the form factor of a standard individual DVD or Blu-Ray case, I’m not opposed to some sort of sleeve or book solution. My first thought is to just buy the kind that Criterion uses or perhaps the best quality super slim cases in both single / 2-disc varieties. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Check your local Big Lots, they might just have a dozen copies of Spongebob Sponge Out of Water 3D and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3D on clearance for $1.25 each. |

A couple releases I found that had 3-disc cases with a hub on both covers and a 1-disc swing tray (for making 4-disc non-stack cases by swapping out the tray) that you can find for decent prices on eBay are the Predator trilogy and the X-Men Beginnings trilogy.
For anyone who happens to be interested! |

I am in the process of making my own combo packs and in need of some bluray cases where the discs are stacked (even though I normally frown upon these), I need them specifically due to the fact that the titles that I want to combine have a slip case and I don't want to not have the slipcase on display on my shelf. I could have sworn I saw that maybe Vortex has a case where the hub is deep enough to house 2 discs at a time. I'm looking for cases with enough to stack 2 discs per hub for a total of 4 discs. Any help would be appreciated.

A small piece of dust or grit can get between the disc surfaces and scratch the surface layer when the disc shifts on the spindle. If it gets deep enough into the playback side or gouges in the correct pit alignment, you will end up with playback issues. This is especially true for 4k discs that are far less tolerant of errors. The hard coat is more fragile than you realize. I still believe quality control has lessened over the years. |

I won’t lose any sleep if I end up losing a special feature disc or two over my lifetime. Like I said, I keep 4k discs alone on a spindle or, in the case of 4-disc sets, at the bottom of the stack, only because I’ve read people’s worries here. |

The single tray per disc case usually has a small gap between the disc surface and the tray because of the spindle. Here, the entire surface of the disc is rubbing together. |
