I've always gotten mine from eBay. I ordered a 5pk from this seller earlier this year, and they were perfect. Looks like there's one batch left right now.

Default Casetopia Media Supply - Better Business Bureau Update

Here's the latest update concerning my ongoing issue with Casetopia Media Supply. I was notified that my case with the BBB was closed on 08/17/21 due to no response from Casetopia. When I filed my complaint on 07/26/21, a total of 113 complaints had been filed against them. As of yesterday, 08/20/21, I noticed an additional 13 complaints have been filed bringing the total to 126. The last complaint posted on the BBB's website was on 06/15/21, over two months ago. This information was taken directly from the BBB's website. In a private email to the BBB, I inquired as to why my complaint and the additional 13 complaints have not been posted on their website. The response I received was actually quiet shocking.

I have edited their response as to avoid privacy issues. ****BBB publishes most complaints, however when we have a company that generates a higher number of complaints, BBB will usually publish less than 100% of the complaints. We do so when we find that the % still allows users to gain an understanding of the issues being presented in complaints and whether the company responded. The reason you have seen a gap in reporting as of 06/15/21 is that BBB recently chose to resend all pending complaints by mail to the company in an attempt to gain responses. Your complaint, along with the other new ones you are noting, just got closed on 08/17/21 and our team is in the process of publishing the information. We recently reviewed your complaint and submitted it for publication.****

I will attempt to summarize their response. The BBB is stating Casetopia has a high number of complaints. Their rating of an "F" is so low, posting additional complaints could not possibly lower their score. I'm pleased to learn that the BBB is taking an additional step by mailing all pending complaints to Casetopia. As of today, 08/21/21, the BBB posted my complaint on their website. I'm hopeful the other complaints will also be posted in short order. Currently Casetopia has failed to respond to a total of 35 complaints, not including the additional 13 complaints recently filed. I also noticed the BBB has included an additional statement on Casetopia's profile in the alerts section. It reads, "Complaints to BBB generally allege non-delivery of orders after payment has been collected".

In closing, I truly appreciate everything the Better Business Bureau has done on my behalf. They have supplied me with constant updates and followed up on every request. It has now been approximately FOUR months since I placed my orders with Casetopia. Please avoid the disaster I'm experiencing and order your media supplies from another retailer. I will never place another order with Casetopia again and I will continue to urge others to do the same. I also appreciate my blu-ray.com community for your time and support!

It's a real shame hearing about Casetopia. They really have a great selection and good prices. I ordered from them a couple times awhile ago and got my stuff fine, but I did have to send them a email both times to get movement. It seems like something has happened to the person that ran the site, hell they could have died for all we know. It's probably best to remove the link from the OP post so no one tries to order from them.

Yes. Or at least add a prominent 'Caveat Emptor' disclaimer, with a brief summary of the bad customer experiences some users have reported.

Real shame to hear about Casetopia. I was always an advocate of theirs. Even though most of the time I had to send them an email a few days after placing an order to get the ball rolling, I always got my stuff quickly and it was always all in great shape.

I placed an order with them several months ago and everything arrived just fine. Did take a while though.

Placed an order in May. Order was stuck on processing for seven days. Sent them an email for an update. Order was shipped the following day, arrived six days later.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but Casetopia has placed this warning/notice on their website:

***Please note shipping times are significantly delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We cannot guarantee when your order will ship but you will receive an email with your tracking info as soon as it does. If you have not received this email then your order has not yet been shipped. We have hundreds of orders and we are getting to each of them as soon as possible. We cannot take time to answer individual emails because we are trying to put forth all of our efforts into reducing the backlog of orders. We hope you will understand and we appreciate your patience during this time. Thank you.***

So it's probably just a logistics issue.

Or an excuse. They were pretty bad before the pandemic too.

I agree that the issues with their responsiveness predate the pandemic. And while I understand that the pandemic may have complicated their operations, it seems to me that most of those complications would involve downtime waiting for goods to arrive from suppliers. Wouldn't that allow more time than usual for Casetopia to reply to customer requests for info?

On the bright side (?), this suggests that they haven't folded completely, so people with pending orders may eventually get their stuff.

Did you guys ever thought about doing any research, read customer reviews (if there's any), and check the BBB before giving this online store all of your personal and credit/debit card information prior making a purchase? You're suppose to do this tasks before, not after the fact because It's too late! It seems like people are freely to give their personal information to anybody on the internet, and don't really know anything about this alleged online store. You'll trust anybody! The internet is full of fake websites to scam people out of their money. From now on, be careful and take extra precautions as to whom you give your personal information and credit/debit card numbers to because, the internet is full of scammers and are waiting on their next victim.

Given the number of people who believe only Amazon sells Blu-ray releases otherwise it doesn't exist says a lot.

I've always ordered from "MegaDiscStore" on eBay in lots of 5 or 10 to cut costs. I've made at least 10 orders over the past few years and it has never taken more then 10 days from order date to order receipt. Even during the pandemic. While they are listed in Canada they ship US orders out of NY.

As much as some of us promote the value and consistency of "MegaDiscStore" it never seem to result in much traction in these threads. Casetopia always seems to lead the discussion both from a recommendation, as well as, a complaint standpoint. Go figure.

The main thing that kept me going back to Casetopia was their selection; they carry some case types that I haven't seen at MegaDiscStore. The second factor was price; even after the high shipping costs, the per-unit price of the cases I ordered was lower from Casetopia.

I have recently placed a couple orders from MegaDiscStore's non-eBay site (GoodwoodEShop) and I was very happy with their service. They'll be my first stop now, for any case types that they do carry.

The only problem with Megadiscstore (besides their higher prices) is that they do not carry some of the various styles of Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray cases that might be needed.

From what I understood, Casetopia was much more responsive to their eBay orders, but the selection was better and the cost was also higher than going directly through their web site. It appears Casetopia's eBay store is no longer active although their account is still there.

Does anyone know if a 14 disc case exists? DVD one is fine too. If so, where?

I've only seen 10-disc cases for Blu-ray and 12-disc cases for DVD.

Casetopia is the only storefront that sells Scanavo Criterion style cases. I feel like this is a prime reason so many people have stuck with them as long as they have.

If Megadiscstore expanded the cases they carried they'd easily become the new #1 spot for folks to order from. As it stands right now, they lack both the Viva elite Clear Cases Vinegar Syndrome uses and many of us like, as well as the aforementioned Criterion style cases. If they'd stock those items their orders would likely increase dramatically. If they added in Arrow replacement cases no one would ever shop anywhere else.

Understand now. I only order Viva Elite Blu-ray cases, from three to ten disks per case. I also only order in packs of 5 or 10.

Actually, for what I purchase Megadiscstore is cheaper. I've only used the eBay store and only have purchased in 5 to 10 case packs. When considering the eBay Megadiscstore provides free shipping, their price comes out a little cheaper then Casetopia, at least for what I've compared pricing.
