The aforementioned Goodwoodeshop site has a variety of 4-disc cases; here's the link to their page.

Those are 14 or 15mm, I need 12 or 12.5 like a standard case size. I also don't need 5 of them lol That's why I was saying maybe a 2 disc case with the hinge thing to put the flipper tray, or a 3 disc case with discs on each side with a 1 disc flipper that I can swap out for a 2 disc.

Heads up, while I didn’t order from there, that particular model of case is harder plastic and I bought some to store cds for collected sets. The disc inserts/pages catch the outer front and back cover discs and break the cds. The first disc that broke, I attempted to be safe afterwards slowly turning the pages to get to the disc I wanted. After the 2nd disc broke I pitched them all away.

Sorry you had a bad experience with them. I've used cases before that appear to be similar to these, and haven't had any problems. I can't do much research because I don't know the manufacturer, but I used to get my 6-disc 22mm cases from Casetopia, before they shut down.

Has anyone found a place that sells the new cases that UK releases seem to have switched to? They seem like a slightly thicker (15mm vs 12.5mm) Viva Elite but they don't have any ELITE branding inside. Arrow and Indicator were using them for a bit when Amaray stopped making the clear cases and before they switched to the new clear cases.

Not so much the artwork, it's that anything bigger wouldn't fit in the slipbox.

Is there a reason why 4k replacement cases are much more expensive than Blu Ray replacement cases? The cheapest I've seen 4k cases is about $2 each but often go for as much as $5 while the Blu Ray cases can be had for $0.50

I don't know if the black plastic costs more, but there is also less demand for UHD than Blu-ray or DVD which can also affect the cost. Cost have gone up over the past few years, but if you buy in bulk (60 cases) you can get them for as low as $1.22/$1.28 for the single/double disc UHD cases from MegaDiscStore.

Of course, the larger disc count (4+) cases have always been much more expensive.

Supply and demand. Blu-ray has been out for over 15 years now.

My cases arrived a few days ago, but I didn't see patent number or even a packing slip with them. The plastic is slightly less firm than a Vortex case, but I still am careful when turning the pages, since I don't want to nick the discs.

I'm trying to find information on the type of case I got with a JP import BD (ghost in the shell SAC trilogy) and having no luck so far. It's a really nice case but doesn't appear to be a type discussed in this thread yet - heavy duty, pushbutton type hubs on the shell disc holders, center tray hinged from back of case rather than spine. "1 TC 448" or "1TC448" and "K-1" / "K1" are molded into the cases and the only search results i can find from those terms appear to just be image search that may have OCR'd them - it finds images of the same type of case on other releases (aniplex usa gurren lagann complete blu-ray box set, japanese releases of toy story / star wars tfa / etc) but i don't think i've found anything to lead me to information about who makes these cases and/or where they might be available for sale.

photos are not mine, just some examples that image search turned up

As far as I can tell, that type of case is exclusive to the JP industry.

Elecom makes a style like that but I would guess that theirs would be considered "generic" compared to what's used at official replicators.

You can find them on Amazon JP:

1-disc
https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Elecom...dp/B001ABMUTW/

2-disc
https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/CCD-BL...dp/B001ABMT7K/

Shipping will be very high, though, and you may even need a proxy or forwarding service to order them.

Edit: And looking at the pictures closer, they may not be *exactly* what you're looking for; they kind of remind me of the generic cases that Scorpion uses for their exclusive slipcover releases...

What happened to that replacement case program that the brand Finest Products LTD was gonna offer? This brand of case has been popping up in recent years and I much prefer it to Viva Elite, however it isn't as easily replaceable as Viva Elite. If it comes down to it, I'll just order Viva Elite cases, but it prefer Finest so much to it that it's kinda hard for me to do so.

Anyone know of ideal replacement cases for this?:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Star-...lu-ray/153852/

I have the version that only comes in two behemoth cases, one of which has 23 discs which is very unwieldy as you might imagine.

I tried looking into getting 6-disc replacements as every season except one is 6 discs, but something I noticed is that for whatever reason, the holder that comes with this is DVD height rather than blu-ray.

I would go with what you said, get 6x 6-disc Bluray cases. They probably made it DVD height because it offers a little extra space for the overlapping discs would be further apart. They tend to do the DVD height cases on those complete series box sets with a lot of discs per case. The proper way would be using Bluray cases and one case per season but that takes up more shelf space.

No idea, it appeared a rep popped into the thread once but that was the last we've heard of him...assuming he was even a rep at all.

FYI, if you ordered from Casetopia before they finally went out of their misery...check your credit cards for any fraudulent charges.

I placed an order with them like a year and a half ago that they never fulfilled, never responded to, and just disappeared. Obviously gave up - and didn't realize until just now when I went to check that they finally shut the place down.

Anyway, I had a fraud charge this week - on a card that I literally had only ever used that once on their website. It's a card that I do not use, I just did that day because my wallet was in my car and it was in my desk. It's funny, because if you look back in this thread I mentioned that what irritated me the most about never getting my order was that they had this CC number that I intentionally don't usually use, and knew I was going to have to keep checking it because of their shady ways.

The charge was also for some place within a couple hundred miles of where Casetopia was supposedly HQ in TN.

It's all circumstantial of course - will probably never know for sure since they never authorized the card (so my card company had no idea they had it), but I would not be surprised if when they jumped ship someone saved off those numbers and they are being attempted now.

TLDR; IF YOU EVER ORDERED FROM CASETOPIA - CHECK YOUR CARD FOR FRAUD!
