I don't really like my different mediums touching each other. If I get a movie that has a soundtrack included I separate it out and put it in a cd case with custom printed artwork to match. I do the same with included DVD copies, I just think everything should have it's own place. For me it's not like I want to watch Beetlejuice on Blu-ray and then I see the cd in the case and decide instead that I would rather listen to that.

I personally don't care about soundtracks that much at all. A soundtrack musician would be another person who's a hero. The music they've created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that they're making it, I respect that.

Makes sense and I definitely understand that (and I like your custom CD artwork idea to match the case, may have to use that one ). I myself keep my scores and movies separate, but Ray's idea does sound fun

Anybody know what kind of case Wall-E: 3-Disc Edition usually comes in and where i can find it? I got it last week but for some reason it was packed in a smaller case.

It'd actually be very pointless to include the CD soundtrack to BEETLEJUICE since it already has an isolated score track.
Damn, I should start a thread, with Sussudio's help, of Region A Blu-rays which have isolated score tracks.
I know the original 5 PotA films and Big Trouble in Little China have them. L.A. Confidential has an isolated score track too, correct?
My apologies for derailing the thread.

Wall-E 3-disc should have been in a Vortex 3-disc case as available from Vernon Library Supplies. It would probably be cheaper to find someone in the trading forum with one of these for sale than to buy from Vernon.

I assume that you got the original cover art with the wider spine (which now kind of spills over into the front and back art when in a case with the narrow spine), but they trimmed it down and shoved it in a smaller case? With the way they did those if you put it in the right size case the art will probably be a little short on the edges because of the way it was trimmed. Did you also get it with the slipcover designed for the bigger case which is way too big for the smaller case?

Yeah, half the spine is on the front and the slipcover was included which is a bit too big for the case.

So the cover art is a little smaller then it should be because they packed it in the wrong case?

Yeah, they probably just cut a little bit off on each side to make it fit. Actually it should barely be anything missing, I guess it would be like 2mm off each side so it will look just fine in the right size case. I have seen Wall-E 3-disc in stores where I think they just shoved the full size art in the smaller case and it was all wrinkled up and ruined.

Cases for sale
This person has some official cases for sale. The G-Force and Snow White cases they have should be the right size. You could try looking around for others in the trade forum that have them for sale.

Vernon Library - Vortex Cases
Vernon has official cases but their shipping is kind of expensive.

I appreciate it, Jon

I tested the cover on my Up Blu-Ray case and it looks like they trimmed a little from the front cover. It just looks a bit off when you look at it.

Is shipping from Vernon also expensive in the US? Because i have a friend in the US i have stuff shipped to.

Yeah their shipping costs start at around $7.56 for one case within the US where I am, so even if they ship to Denmark it would be pretty ugly. Their shipping isn't bad per case if you are looking at like 40 cases but for low quantities it's rough. So far when I have needed extra multi disc cases I usually just try to buy a cheap movie that comes in the size I need. Last year I bought an extra copy of Snow White for $10 and G-Force for $10 after coupons just for the 3-disc cases. Then I sold the movies as disc only on ebay for around $8-9 and still gave the DVD copies to my sister's kids.

European customers can buy 4 and 6 disc cases pretty cheaply here and they only charge about 5 USD to ship 6 cases:

Yes, but please be advised that the product photos are of the 22mm Vortex-style generic case (capacity of 3 to 6 discs, depending on the configuration of the swing trays). So, you may have to go the genuine Vortex route, if in fact, you need the thinner case (15.8mm: 3 to 4 discs vs. 21.8mm: 5 to 6 discs).

No idea if this has been linked before, but this ebay seller has Elite cases. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any 2-disc cases, which is what most people would probably want. He does sell single-disc Elite and he carries some multi-disc cases. He offers up free shipping.

This is a link to his main store: http://stores.ebay.com/BluHeaven-Media

Yeah, I've bought from him multiple times. He told me he'll be getting the double disc Elites by the end of the year. So here's hoping...

So at my work we get these clear Blu-ray cases that are meant to be used as dummy cases for PS3 video games. Basically its so if you want a certain game(They come with coverart for new games) you take the case to the cashier and then they give you the actual game. So since we don't use them I took them home and figured I would use them to repleace th blue eco-cases that came with the Lady Killers BD and Ran BD to make them seem a little more special. Not sure if they sell these cases but if they do there kinda cool to make your Blu-rays stand out a bit.

The cases are identical the ones Sony and Disney use except there clear.

Could I use any gloss paper at staples to print my coverarts on or do I need to use the ones linked on pg1?

I hope so. I'd buy 100 of them. I can't count how many times I've gotten 2-disc Elites where a corner is broken off. And I'm a bit OCD, so if it came in an Elite case, I want it replaced with one.

I have a bunch of the other kind with the latch that Sony/Disney use.

You can use the paper at Staples (I've done it before) . I only posted the Amazon links in the OP because that's what I came across first.

Here are some additional links to generic cases that are BD-sized, as well as being colors besides translucent blue, albeit, without the Blu-ray Disc Logo on the branding bar:

14mm Single-Disc Black Opaque:
http://www.squaredealonline.com/a.asp?s=Y2F

Yet another source for what are essentially replacement PS3 game cases.

14mm Single-Disc Clear:
http://www.squaredealonline.com/a.asp?s=72F

A clear version of the case noted above. This differs from the clear Scanavo case that Criterion uses in terms of thickness (14mm vs. 15mm) and the presence of a branding bar, which the Scanavo case lacks.

12mm Single-Disc Clear:
http://www.squaredealonline.com/a.asp?s=YPF

Not as nice as the cases that Untiteld7 has access to at work, since his appear to be genuine clear Vortex cases. However, if you MUST satisfy your craving for clear BD cases right NOW, these Elite-style generics should do in a pinch.

I don't know if Square Deal are still packing their shipments with recycled styrofoam blocks from other packages (doesn't everyone have a little extra time in their day to pick minuscule, broken-off pieces of foam from their cases?). And if they really did have a security breach last year, you may want to consider purchasing from them on Amazon, which should be more secure, where they are a merchant.

Thanks for the added information, that's really useful. In my case it doesn't matter as I use them to replace the Battlestar Galactica full set (rather crappy) cardboard boxes, but when replacing an existing case, it's indeed of big importance so the cover would match. So thanks for pointing it out.
