Well I checked my recent order of single and double sided, I see they have Viva, Elite and Patent Pending inside the case.

As I've stated in previous posts, megadiscstore.com had transitioned from selling generic 12.5mm singles to genuine Viva Elites. The post that these replies refer to are my belief that they may have also transitioned from generic 12.5mm doubles to genuine Elite double-disc cases, which again, someone else will need to confirm by either placing an order or visiting them if they are local to the Toronto area.

Oh, I see! Still seems pricey considering I can buy many blu movies for 5 bucks at the Wal Mart bins lately! I guess I need to read this whole thread to see which blu cases are decent enough at a fair price. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info too! 12.5mm cases never bothered me so if I can them at a good deal that's fine for now at least.

Also because not everyone on here lives in the US, and Discmakers charges more than $30 to Canada, while that guy on eBay sells 5 cases for $15 to Canada, which makes more sense if you only need a few cases.

I made my second order to Vernon Libraries. Once again shipping costs made them cheaper than Sleevetown. My order showed up in two days (they're in GA and I'm in FL). However, one of the 2-disc cases was cracked along the bottom. I made a phone call and left a message after hours explaining the problem. They called me back and shipped me a new case, which also arrived in two days.

One hand giveth, while the other taketh away....

Let's deal with the bad news first: discmakers.com appears to have dropped 11mm double-disc Vortex cases. However, it looks like they've recently been tinkering with their lineup of Blu-ray Disc cases by adding...12.5mm double- and triple-disc Viva Elites. The double-disc Elite appears to be the latest generation, where the raised, molded plastic ridge that delineates the "nest" which the disc occupies on the booklet-side of the case is truncated to leave an empty spot for the squarish RFID security tag. This designated RFID tag location design feature was first utilized for Viva's brand extension, the Eco-Box line of cases.

Just in case you misread that last sentence, let me reassure you that Disc Makers does NOT carry Viva Eco-Box cases. With that being said, the floodgates are now wide open, so get them while they're hot, mixed-metaphorically speaking.

Thanks for the notice on the 2/3 disc viva elite cases. In regards to the 2-disc Vortex cases, those still show up (for me) on the Discmakers web site and are available for order.

My apologies, somehow, when I was dinking around on the site this afternoon, I probably neglected to click onto their main BD case page. If I had done so, I would have seen, as mentioned above, that double-disc Vortex cases are still available, which of course, is even better news all the way around!

Great. I might be able to find a good cheap one to put Bridge to Terabithia in (mine's a used rental copy), and then I'd only have to find the cover art.

As a large collector of blu-ray movies, I had prefered Elite but have changed my tune due to 1) sturdiness, 2) size and 3) availability.

1) On those occasions when I have purchased a BD and the case has been broken, it has always been an Elite case. They are very fragile.

2) When I switched from Elite to Vortex, I gained 2 shelves. Yes the 3 - 6 disc cases are larger but needing 3 - 6 disc cases are few and far between. i don't keep digital or dvd copies so the need for 3 disc cases are minimum. I use scanned copies and reduce or enlarge them using Gimp and UnderCoverXP.

3) You can get Vortex single and doubles from Discmakers, 3 - 6 discs from Vernon.

My only negative regarding the Vortex cases is I wish the single and double Vortex's would come without the snap flap but I just fold it in and don't worry about it.

It seems a little bit weird that a person would transition to using all vortex cases when they don't like the security flap on them. This is exactly the reason that I have switched to all Elite cases. I just couldn't get used to the flap on the side even when I folded it inside it annoyed me every single time I saw it.

I am willing to admit that the Elite cases are a lot more likely to break in shipping, but Discmakers does a great job of getting my 100 replacement cases at a time to me unbroken. I can't recall a time when I have ever broken a case once it was in my house, the only damages occur on store shelves or in shipment to me. I do totally agree with your way of not keeping the DVD & Digital copies in the Blu-ray case.

i can't give you exact dating, as it was a few months ago, but from what i remember, it was rather quick. also, they came in a nice, perfectly-shaped box that held up well. the cases were in flawless condition.

if your experience is anything like mine, i think you will be very pleased. good luck!

Hey Suss,

Don't know if you're still updating the page or not, but discmakers is now carrying 2 and 3 disc Viva Elites!

I also ordered 100 Viva cases from discmakers earlier this month. I made my order on the 7th and received them on the 12th. Not too bad in my opinion especially since I ordered on a Friday and if I'm not mistaken, they were sent out the same day. Also, all 100 came in perfect shape.

I see they now have double and triple Viva Elite cases on there now too but I never see myself needing 25 of either of them
