Question

Anyone have an idea where I can snag some of the clear Scanavo cases like Criterion uses for their Blu-rays?

I need a stand that will hold my collection and not cost me $500.

All the ones that held 602 DVD were over $500, out of control man

what about getting 2 identical cabinets that hold 300-something and put them next to each other? would probably save you a decent amount of $$ too (at least it would likely be under 500)?

maybe this

or this?

Is there a non-closed thread for custom covers?

Thanks, and thanks. When you can find custom covers it's really helpful in making collections a lot more uniform. The hard part is finding the printable versions without having to pay for them (but I guess in some cases it may be worth it).

I noticed today at HMV they finally have the single cases for $1.99 CDN each, maybe cost more than the places listed already but if you only need 1 or 2 you dont have to worry about ordering by mail

a request:

can someone provide a link for me to the paper used to print out dvd/bluray covers? i'm guessing it's the same as the insert paper, except those links on the OP seem to be specifically sized for inserts...i'd love to have a link for actual paper for people to print out full size covers (either through amazon or some other site). thanks

Occasionally, someone will post that they're looking for a multi-disc plastic Blu-ray case, and...the responses never come. Forum member bartlettphoto is thinking about organizing a group-buy of what appear to be 6-disc 15mm Viva Elites (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...72#post2045472) from a source in Australia so as to share in some of the acquisition costs (shipping, transaction, and currency conversion).

15mm Viva Elites have open hinges molded onto the spine of the case, as opposed to snap-hinges, so that double-disc swing trays cannot be snapped directly into place. Rather, the swing trays must be attached to adapters at the top and bottom, and then the completed swing tray-adapter assembly can then be inserted into the hinges. Thus, these cases can have a capacity of: 1) Up to 6 discs if you leave all of the swing trays in place; 2) Up to 4 discs if you remove the swing tray-adapter assembly, take out one of the swing trays, and then reinsert the assembly; or 3) Up to 2 discs if you remove the assembly entirely and leave the hinges completely empty.

The potentially thinner spine cover art of a 12.5mm case may look okay on a 15mm case, in case you were thinking of replacing a 12.5mm triple-disc Viva Elite. Also, since a 4-disc 15.8mm MeadWestvaco Vortex is relatively the same size, you may also be able to use the 15mm Elite if you're looking to replace a multi-disc Vortex case. Finally, you can also store up to 6 discs from either a 21.8mm Vortex or a 25mm Elite, but if you're also trying to swap out the cover insert, the larger insert may not fit very well on the thinner 15mm case. If you have no idea what I'm talking about when I'm referring to Elite and Vortex cases, see the original post in the thread from the link mentioned above.

If you are interested in getting some 6-disc 15mm Viva Elites, you should probably send a pm to bartlettphoto.

However Effectuality is getting into carrying BD cases. So I just hooked the two of them up together. Hopefully the two will do business together and we users of less then 5000 units can get some multi cases. Keep an eye on Effectuality's web site in the next few months!!

And yet, their product photo is that of the "six-ribbed" 12.5mm generic single-disc case. Sigh...

hey evo-

i've only ordered from them a few times and have spoken with them over the phone regarding an order (but not related to your problem)...they seem like good people, so i assume they'll take care of you. please post your outcome so others know how good/bad their customer service is, but again, i doubt you'll have any trouble with them

If I can't find these I may just have to do it the other way around (put the Blu-Ray in a DVD case).
I want those too.

I can get the single-disc for 60c each and the double disc for $1.25 each (both pricing includes taxes but 20 pieces minimum buy). However, I can't find the 3-disc or 4-disc ones.
