As far as brands go, I actually prefer Vortex cases over Viva Elites. They're made of thicker plastic, which makes them more durable, and the spines are more squared than rounded, which makes custom-cover design a little easier. Also, the raised, silver Blu-Ray logo looks a lot better than the painted ones found on Vivas.

Yeah, but not by much. 6-disc Vortex cases are about 5/16" wider than a 3-disc Viva, and since I only have about 40 Blus, shelf space isn't much of an issue for me.

Just up to individual preference, I guess.

Today, the painted blu-ray logo is a rare find with the Vivas. They switched to a foil logo which is similar to the Vortex cases minus the emobossed logo a while back. On occasion I've come across some titles with the painted logo but they're usually from old stock.

I've bought from Discmakers before (during the Hollywood Video sale) and was happy with what I received.

I just ordered 100 more empty Elite Cases for $47 shipped. I know it shouldn't matter, but I'm so OCD about my collection matching that I just can't stand the DVD sized rental cases. Discmakers needs to thank BlockBuster for having a sale lol.

ok, I was the guinea pig. I picked up 100 of the "Special Edition" cases from Sleevetown that they just added. these are perfect replicas of the Vortex cases except for the hub.. more like a viva elite hub... for $31.24 shipped to my door for $100 I couldn't complain

This is not completely related to blu ray cases but I was wondering if There was away to replace the cardboard slip covers that come with some movies because some of mine have tore?

Since the studios have slipcovers for certain titles for only a limited run, unfortunately you either have to find them with the Blus at stores, eBay (may have slips by themselves available), or a private seller such as the slipcover exchange thread here.

I have to respectfully disagree.
I picked up 100 for my BBV haul and for future use, and they arrived today.
I'm not picky at all when it comes to blu cases - I don't even know the difference between viva elite, vortex, etc - but these just feel cheap - the plastic feels cheap, the latches are cheap, and the blu-ray logo isn't white or silver, it's just left blu like the rest of the case. I regret not just going with the discmakers ones I bought last time.

So if you want the cheapest you can find, they'll do, but just know what you're getting.

Searched everywhere for the answer to this question but couldn't find it: Does anyone know what type of case Breaking Bad Season 2 (or three) comes in? Usually I just replace titles with Viva Elite cases, but the spine on this is a bit fatter. Thank you for your help in advance!

fudge. just got my discmakers 2disc elites. perfect, but while my vortex ones are the real things...but they are ecos...crap. hoping my order of 1 disc elites are not ecos. will be mildly upset. still waiting on those.
