OK, here's the deal...
A few days ago, I made the following order on the Casetopia website, and it arrived today: One pack of 10 Vortex 5-disc cases One pack of 25 Vortex 2-disc cases One pack of 50 Vortex 1-disc cases Now, I have spent quite a while, doing physical measurements with a static, 12-inch metal ruler, to determine the proper cover dimensions...and here's where it gets weird. 1 & 2 disc cases (same width): 10 & 11/16" x 5 & 7/8"; 3206 x 1760 pixels (spine = 126) 4 disc cases (already had them): 10 & 3/4" x 5 & 7/8"; 3225 x 1760 pixels (spine =145) 5 & 6 disc cases (same width): 11" x 5 & 7/8"; 3300 x 1760 pixels (spine = 220) As you can see, the width between the 4-disc and 5/6 disc cases is about 1/4", so that makes sense...but the difference between the 1/2 discers and the 4's is a miniscule 1/16", and yet they look so wider at the spine, it blows my mind! What's going on, here? ![]() P.S.: I've redone the measurements multiple times, so I know it's not an error. ![]() |

FWIW, you can by 12.5mm or 22mm 3 disc BD cases.
I prefer the thinner ones. Even with Multi DVD cases from the studios you occasionally get very thick ones which just take up shelf space for no good reason IMO. King Kong 3 disc set & Independence Day 2 Disc set both had those extra thick cases. |

Just got a 6 disc Vortex case (21mm?) to replace the horrid UK Lethal Weapon collection case (5 discs) and used the final spindle to double up the extended version DVDs I already had...movies 1 and 2 were on a single flipper disc. Looks like that's going to be the most extensive Lethal Weapon package possible.

I just want cases that look like the cases purchased in the store, 1 or 2 disc doesn't matter. Which is the best store listed on page 1 to buy them from? Is sleeve city good?

I like discmakers.com. they are reasonable and have authentic viva and vortex. I noticed they have added the eco-lite to the line up as well.

Sorry, kind of new to blu-ray, but had a question.
I'm partial to the official US release cases, with the silver embossed logo (not sure what the term is, but it's not flat.) The ENGLISH/FRENCH cases seem to have a flat, grey logo, which looks terrible to me. I'm in need of buying some replacement cases, and have seen some recommendations in this thread. However, what I can't tell from the pictures on any of the sites is what the logo looks like. Can anyone confirm if the replacement cases from any of these vendors match the cases you'd get the movie in, including the logo? I hope this wasn't confusing. Thanks in advance for any info. Steve |

Anyone have detailed pics of Scanavo cases? Everywhere online the pictures are stock photos even in the forum's official blu-ray case topic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Put in an order from diskmakers of 25 of the one disc and 25 of the two disc blu cases. Hopefully these are better. |

Just checking again: does anyone know of a retailer - online or not - which sells Blu-Ray cases holding more than 6 discs? I know such cases exist, because some studios have used them for different releases, but can they be purchased separately?

So my shipment came in the mail today from discmakers. Shipped in two days. Awesome. Also, cases were the exact same as the elites like they said. Nothing is different about them at all. Held them up side by side with other elites I had from store bought blus and they were identical. Very pleased.
