I contacted Viva about a month ago and got 3,4,5 and 6 disc cases out of them. thanks again kyle!
I was thinking of buying an order of 5000 units and making them avaliable here to the users but once I contacted them just a few days ago. What I was told that I could order 5000 in reality they really only sell truck loads.
So here is what we should do.
I've contacted Effectuality (www.effectuality.com) trying to set these two companies up together. If you guys email or contact Effectuality then maybe they will but in an order and we will get access to some cases.
Phone number is 1.866.630.3355
email is information@effectuality.com
This is the east coast number and their head office

I just sent Viva an email myself. That was today so I'm waiting on a response. How many cases were you able to get? I only need 3 since all the cases for my X-Men set are damaged.

No disc on the side with the cover. Two sleeves, one with 2 discs, one on front, one of back. Second sleeve holding one disc and back with one disc?
This style of case may no longer be manufactured, as I believe that it is the first generation 25mm Viva Elite. The more recent 25mm Elites have wider, open hinges to accept an adapter-swing tray assembly for up to 4 discs. Additonal swing trays can be attached using clips, bringing you up to 8 discs on the spine hinges. You can store up to 10 discs when there's a hub on the booklet-side of the case, and the usual hub on the disc tray-side of the case.

Australia Australian Supplier for BD Cases

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this Australian supplier in this post but have a look here at the 3 types of BD case supplied by PCX - http://www.pcx.com.au/products/index...,-discontinued.

I have ordered both the "6 DVD Blu-ray Case with clear wrap *Premium (14mm)*" & the "DVD Case Blu-ray Blue - Economy (12mm)" cases from them - prompt delivery (I am local to them though) & a reliable product. You'd have to ask if they ship overseas & what the costs are...but hey, it might be an option. Hope this helps.

A container-load of a single style of Blu-ray Disc cases is...a LOT of cases. Hypothetically, a case could hold 25 units (BD cases). A master carton (a larger cardboard box) could have at least four cases. Multiple master cartons can be stacked and wrapped on a pallet. And finally, multiple pallets can be loaded onto a shipping container. I repeat, a container-load of a single style of BD cases is...a shockingly HUGE number of cases to pay for, and then to store them, prior to their resale.

Part of the reason Disc Makers stopped selling 12.5mm single-disc Viva Elites appears to be logistics: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...75#post2125575. My interpretation of that post is: a) Cases are manufactured in China; b) The factory loads them onto to container(s); c) The container(s) are loaded onto a cargo ship; d) Since Viva North America is in Ontario, I'm going to assume the ship docks in Vancouver, rather than Los Angeles/Long Beach; e) Container(s) ride the rails to Ontario; f) Once they reach Ontario, the container(s) can be broken down into more managable pallet-size units for distribution.

Basically, I'm saying that there's a big difference between an order for a pallet of cases vs. a whole container's worth. Bless Disc Makers if they were in fact acquiring a container-load of single-disc Elites directly from Viva, and somehow selling everything out before the next ordering window opened up. I don't know if that means MeadWestvaco is more flexible with either its minimum order quantities or ordering windows (on-demand vs. monthly) for 11mm single-disc Vortex cases, but if Disc Makers has a good experience with MeadWestvaco, maybe we should pester them to start carrying 11mm double-disc cases, as well as 15.8mm (3 to 4 discs) and 21.8mm (5 to 6 discs) cases.

actually i was told there is 4704 cases per pallet.
hell i would have bought 5000 cases. mind you I would have tried to mix and match. say...
500 10 disc
500 9 disc
500 8 disc
500 7 disc
500 6 disc
500 5 disc
1000 4 disc
1000 3 disc

sell all for $1 each

Calledd Fox, they don't cover the cases. It's not a major deal since I have extra double disc cases. I'd just shove the digital copy in a sleeve. Guess I could get them exchanged at Deep Discount but it's not worth me sending the set back, and waiting for the turnaround.

Yeah, well, total BD case counts per pallet from Viva should vary depending on the thickness of the case ordered, 6mm vs. 12.5mm vs. 15mm vs. 25mm. And, my hypothetical was assuming that a case would be arranged as 1x25 BD cases. For all I know, master cartons aren't used, and instead, they're arranged in a larger cardboard box as two cases wide by two cases high by however many cases deep.

Does anybody know, that clear blu-cases used by criterion can be bought somewhere separately? They are really looking great.

Are the 3 disc blu-ray cases sold at any online store at this point? I had to use a dvd case for the first season of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, I'm not happy about that.

Some people have asked about them on the Criterion website and it doesn't appear they are available for purchase (yet). They are made by a company called Scanavo though, so depending on how badly you want them, you might want to try directly contacting the company

I haven't come across any sites that sell them, but if I do I'll report back with a link

Unfortunately, no one has been able to find a domestic retailer yet, but if someone does, I'll update the thread and OP with a link
