I'm pretty sure these are actually the ones you are looking for:

http://megadiscstore.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=223

If the ones that come in the Ultimate Matrix Collection are the same as the ones that come in the Austin Powers Collection the the ones I provided in the link are definitely the right ones.

Yeah, the cases used for the Matrix Collection are 6 mm thick. There won't be any 1 mm cases since a blu-ray disc has a thickness of ~ 1.2 mm. Casetopia also sells the 6 mm Viva Elite cases in both the 1 and 2 disc variety.

Has anyone personally verified that the 3-disc cases from Sleeve City are actually 11mm thick, as advertised?

If so, are they good quality?

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I ordered from sleeve-town and I was happy with my order. The problem I have though is the Blu-ray cases they sent me are the ones with the rounder edges, (they seem to be more popular with the newer movies)

I have a bunch of older movies though where I want to keep the original cases. so what website can I use to buy the cases that are used for 85% of the movies.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Hanna-Blu-ray/25710/ (this is an example of the type of case I got when I ordered from sleeve-city)
you can notice by the rounder edges.

The two most popular cases are Viva Elite and Vortex. They are both rounded. Viva elites are rounded both front to back and side to top. Vortex is mostly rounded side to top but not front to back.

Hope that helps.

ETA: Use caution when ordering from Meritline. The single-disc cases I got were NOT in fact Vortex cases. The 2-disc cases were Vortex. The single-disc cases look crappy on the top edge and do not blend in with the rest of my Blu-ray disc collection. I am going to end up buying some Vortex or Viva Elite cases to replace those that I ordered from Meritline.

I've heard some folks mention this, but I haven't experienced it myself. Most cases for Blu-Rays are slightly thicker than their DVD counterparts, but as long as you take good care of your collection, there shouldn't be a problem. If you have kids or pets that like to destroy things, I'd suggest keeping your Blus on a higher shelf, or in a locked bookcase.

In general, Vortex cases (sold by Sleevetown and pretty much everybody else listed in the very first post) are used by Sony & Disney. Viva Elite cases (sold by Mega Disc Store) are used by Warner, Fox, Paramount, etc.

There's all kinds of info in this thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-pc...akes-them.html. It will probably be your best bet for getting an answer to your question.

Also...just ordered 2 Blu-ray cases and a DVD insert for $6.19 total from US Plastics. Thanks for this thread folks!

Thanks!

Were they the Viva Elite cases? Are they the same size that the studios use?
