The individual releases are the extended cuts which include additional scenes not found in the Grindhouse double bill. Death Proof actually I think benefits from the extra scenes, Planet Terror, there isn't much extra. Moving on to the technical aspects, Planet Terror is shown in 1.78:1 as that was its native aspect ratio (actually 1.85:1 but 1.78:1 on the Blu-ray) if I am not mistaken due to it being filmed digitally. Both releases feature 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtracks, but the PQ of Death Proof isn't as good as it is in the Grindhouse release in my opinion. still, they are both worth watching if you're a fan of Grindhouse . Also Planet Terror comes with a "scratch free" version which only has a DD 5.1 track.

I've considered that. I'd prefer the Blu-ray logo.

Thanks for the info. I've owned the individual releases on DVD and have always preferred the double feature Grindhouse experience with fake trailers, so I'll probably stick with that.

The Viva Elite cases from Discmakers are amazing! I have replaced about 80 of my Eco Cases with them so far. I would like to sell my Eco cases if anyone is interested in them. I have no idea what they could be worth so if someone wants to throw me an offer I'm sure i won't refuse
I'll even throw in a Blu-ray copy of "The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag! lol

I did the exact same thing as I prefer the Viva Elite to the Vortex. When I first did it I filled up the 25 case box full of the eco cases from discmakers and sold them to a member here. You might try that.

Does anyone know if any 3 disc green cases are available? So far, the only ones I've found are these and they are for stacking the discs on top of each other and I don't want to go that route.

Hi everybody!

I need some help, because I didn't find the solution for my problem.
I've purchased Startgate Atlantis in BD (the complete collection), and Season 1&2's case was damaged. It is an Elite case with 8 disc in it (with 32 mm wide)
I didn't find a place, where I can buy one...
Can anyone suggest me a site?
This is the 2nd product which was damaged and I don't want to send it back again...
Thank you.

Got a very weird "new" type of case today with Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy:

I don't think it shows too well but ... it's a 2-disc "eco" case BUT the "eco" parts are NOT cut out. They are thinner plastic but they're not empty holes like I'm used to.

I've seen something like this (thinner plastic at parts) on Vortex cases, but this is a Viva Elite.

???

Yep, those have been around for awhile although they're much more rare then their holely counterpart.

I bought 30 12mm cases on eBay (15 single/15 double). The double cases have the rounded edges, but the single disc ones are more square like. I looked through my collection and none look like this. I just wan to know what these are called, so I don't get them again.

They may be generic cases. Can you post pics of the cases?

The one on the left is the double with both sides rounded, and the one on the right is the single with square sides on the spine side.

There is a blu-ray logo, but it is faint. Not silver.

To me they look like the cases I got from Super Media Store a few months ago.

I guess I fall into your "small blu collection" category.

Although, if I had posted a pic...I'm sure you would have figured that out.
