Just received my shipment of replacement cases from Casetopia. Ordered 10 single disc Viva Elite cases, a 2 disc Viva Elite, and a 3 disc Viva Elite. Needless to day, I am extremely satisfied with their shipping and the end result. Now, to go through the entire collection and switch everything over to Viva Elite cases. I think they're the ones that look the best, IMO.

I would highly recommend them! I've only ordered 3 times, but I don't burn through them that fast, and I order 3 sets of about 60-75 at a time. Will continue to order only through them, though!
The one thing I'd say from a quick look is that their shipping seems high.

Yeah, I agree on the shipping. However, in comparison to Disc Makers, I can order one if I need to. That to me makes it worth it in the end. I only order replacements when I buy a Blu-ray that has a case I don't care for. So I'll wait a month or so, let a few pile up, and order 10 or so. I will be replacing all of the other cases in my collection with the Viva Elites. Best case.

I'm eventually looking at a huge order or several smaller orders, because I have to dump all the shitty eco-cases and the heat damaged case that some companies end up having. Stuff like that.

I honestly spent like 20 minutes looking for this thread lol

I have blank singles and double replacement cases and I just ordered triples (2 disc holder divider and 1 disc holder on right side).

I just got in Iron Man 2 (3-Disc) and the piece that holds the divider was broken >_>

OUCH! I just did a comparison on the 2 for shipping on an identical order of 25 single Viva Elites and 25 double Viva Elites... difference of $13 overall. Looks like I'll just order in bulk to make more sense.

They sell on eBay as well, which gives you different shipping options to consider.

Nisei, I am most curious if the production company would do two and three-disc cases. I am very interested in the green cases. Most of the cases I would be looking for are two and three-disc with several single-disc, ideally. I don't know how things are going to go so I want to lay it all out there. If they will do three and up, at what capacity does the thickness go up and how thick is the spine? I think you said the green are Scanavo. In that case they'll probably be 15mm at three-disc, I'm guessing. I know there will most likely be a minimum order; but if I don't ask, I'll never know.

Thanks for your help to me and the rest of the community!

Default Clear Single Disc Case Options

Are there any other options available that are similar to the Vortex eco-lite clear case, but produced as a solid case with no openings? Is the eco-lite Vortex the only one readily available now or are there any similar cases that include the blu-ray logo on the case itself? The Criterion cases are really nice, but shipping from Casetopia is pretty steep. Thanks in advance for your help!

Well, the Korean seller on eBay has started carrying clear Viva Elite cases. At this point only single-disc cases are being sold. I don't if you'd be interested or not, but this hasn't been posted yet.

Vortex eco-lites are solid. Only Viva Elite ecos cut holes in the case. Vortex ecos have always been like the newer Elite eco in that they use thinner plastic in areas. There's still a layer of plastic, it's just not as thick.

Thanks for posting that. Aside from the price $5 per case vs as little as 50 cent per case when buying in bulk, I still greatly prefer the contrast of the blue-foil logo on the Vortex clear cases, vs the presumably silver (can't really tell by the picture on ebay if it's silver, white, or just etched into the case) logo on the Vivas.

Turns out my cases I got in are 15mm.

I don't mind them at all. They're really nice and they snap in nicely, but I'm afraid if I have a Slipcover and I have to replace it it won't fit inside >_>

I went ahead and placed an order from Sleeve city and got 15% off using their Beta site. Ordered 8 single disc cases, and 7 double disc cases.

If ordering a smaller amount (say 10 cases or so), it seems to be a better deal to go through their ebay store than their actual website. I ordered a set of 10 3-disc elite cases from them recently, the cost of which was $13.90 and the shipping was "free" (I'm sure it is somehow factored into the default price). By comparison, to order a set of 10 cases from their site, shipped to my zip code, is $11 for the cases plus $6.35 for shipping.

Granted, when ordering in larger bulk, it does tend to become cheaper ordering directly from their website.

But this works out well for me. I've been in sort of a catch-22 when it comes to ordering cases for quite some time now.

I have been planning on ordering a lot of cases for a while.... Primarily 3-disc Elite cases, but also a few in the 4-6 disc range. For one thing, I want to swap out any eco cases for solid cases (particularly the Elite eco cases with the holes in them.... the Vortex ones which don't actually have holes don't bother me as much, though I still don't care for them). Also, for most movies that I have upgraded to Blu-Ray and already owned on DVD, to consolidate things, I am planning on making them into "combo packs" by simply swapping the cases out for multi (in most cases 3) disc cases to simply put the DVD in the same package as the Blu-Ray. I will still likely use 3-disc cases even in most situations where consolidating will only result in a 2-disc set... Overall I prefer the way most 2-disc DVD cases were with having the flap for one of the discs, so I will use the 3-disc BD case in the same manner (having one disc on the hub on the right side of the case, and having the other disc on the 'flap' in the same place it would be in a DVD case, and then just leave the hub on the other side empty). Plus for any Blu-Rays that have any kind of booklet with them, I hate having one of the discs covered by it when they are under that side. I probably won't go so far as to replace all of my existing non-eco 2-disc cases with 3-disc cases, but for those that I'm swapping out anyway (to replace a 2-disc eco case or to make my own combo pack), it will be a 3-discer being used. And I have quite a few movies that I've upgraded, so the number keeps growing.

I'm also thinking of getting some cases in the 4-6 disc range for some TV show Blu-Ray box sets that come in packaging that IMO takes up too much room (more so than necessary). Some of these include Heroes, True Blood, The Office, and (to a lesser extent) South Park.

Up until finding Casetopia's ebay prices (which I'm not sure how long they've been at that price since I think it used to be more or they charged shipping separate or something from what I recall), the shipping at most places is what killed it for me.

The shipping from many sites to simply get 10 or 20 cases can be anywhere from $7 to $14 (give or take), making the cost of shipping almost as much as the cases in some situations.

So I kept putting off ordering to do a large bulk order all at once. The problem is that I kept putting it off. Since I was easily looking at an order that would probably end up in the $100 to $200 range (possibly more), I kept waiting for a "slow" month in regards to other purchases (Blu-Rays, DVDs, collectibles, etc), and while those purchases have varied, it's been consistently heavy enough that it has been hard for me to justify such a large order all at once.

As a result, I basically kept not ordering anything since a bulk order just wasn't feasible and the shipping on a lot of smaller orders would be too much of a gouge to the wallet.

But Casetopia's ebay prices are right up my alley. It's easy for me to order a pack of 10 3-disc cases once or twice a month for around $14 total and not feel like I'm getting ridiculously gouged on shipping. I know in the long run it will still technically be more expensive than placing a bulk order from their site all at once, but it's still much more reasonable compared to most other options that I've come across.

I am.
I had to source different ones because the ones I received weren't up to my standards. I've got a bunch now and been busy taking pictures tonight.
I hope to have started the topic in the Trade section tomorrow.
Colors available are:
11mm
Piano Black, Black translucent, Orange translucent, Red translucent, Fluor Green opaque, Red opaque, White, Clear
14mm
Clear, Black translucent, Green translucent
Some of the colors I have are in very limited quantities (Piano Black was my main target) but I'm planning on taking preorders if enough people want them.

Thanks again

Yes, 11mm is US standard and 14mm is UK standard.
But I've replaced most of my 14mm UK cases with 11mm already. Often the covers just fit in without the need of cutting a little piece off. Of course you can't replace the UK box sets and slipcover versions with 11mm so that's why I also ordered some black Amarays for those.

Thanks for the info, can't wait to see pics of these and start ordering, I need some black ones bad lol, but really need to see what the others look like.

1 more thing, will they only be 1 disc or will you have other options available as well?

By any chance (and I know this is a long shot) are multi-disc cases an option? I would be interested in a few green 2 or 3 disc green cases (Preferably at least one 3-disc case if possible, but a few 2-disc ones as well), and possibly a few black 6-disc cases.

If this isn't possible, I understand, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask.
