Post Special Elite cases -- While Supplies Last!

SweBurn.com is having a liquidation sale on some specialty Viva Elite cases. Apparently these came from a studio/production house. The types for sale are

* 11mm Clear w/Blue Foil Logo Two-disc 10pk. €3,99
* 11mm Black Single Disc 10pk. (They look transparent, not opaque.) €4,99
* 11mm Clear w/Silver Foil Logo Single Disc 10pk. €4,99
* 12.5mm Green Single Disc 10pk. €3,99

Tax is inclusive on all (I assume VAT).

They have 7-disc cases listed, as well; but they are listed as sold out.

I don't know what the shipping is like, but this is an extremely rare opportunity. I wanted to make sure people saw it.

Pleasant cases, all!

EDIT: Apparently, they don't ship outside the European Union.

Wow, thanks for sharing. The only place I've seen the 11mm Viva Elites were with European releases. Those cases do appear to be a bit more resilient to breakage when compared to their 12.5mm counterpart. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they ship to the US and even then I'd guess the shipping would be cost prohibitive. Definitely appears to be a good deal for those in Europe though.

Orange case is from The Way Back (CA), black cases are from the eBay seller.

Does anyone know what the standard typical blu-ray case is and where to get them. I hate eco and I hate vortex cause the locks break and I want something with the rounded not square corners that matches cases that a blu ray would come in new from best buy.

Sorry I'm picky but I'm a sticker for uniformity. I bought cases at best buy and they have weird corners that look different when mixed in the collection and I bought some real cheap ones from fries that are darker and very squared.

Thanks!

Finally was able to get a replacement green case for my Incredible Hulk BD. As with many, my original case was cracked, torn, and all around busted, but after asking a getting rejected last year, I gave it another shot this week and they sent it next day. It's in perfect condition.

Sounds like you're looking for the Viva Elite cases. Two good options are DiscMakers if you're buying in bulk of 25 cases or Casetopia if you just want to buy a handful of individual cases.

Thank you very much! I was looking at those but couldn't tell if the corners were the same as a standard case.

I just received the UK set of Back to the Future in the mail, in the keepcase. Awesome set at a great price, but unfortunately, the bottom snap broke in transit. Any idea what's the best replacement for the 3 disc case?

I didn't know if the fact that it's the UK version made a difference, but your help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: My apologies if this has already been covered, of course.

You'll need to get a thick Amaray case, which holds 3-4 Discs... See if you can find it on Amazon.

I'm thinking this may be their eco 3 disc case solution as the plastic is very flimsy and thin.
Hmmm...... I don't like the sound of that at all. I haven't seen those yet. Are you sure it is an Elite case and not a different brand that looks similar?

I recently got some 3-disc elite cases from Casetopia. They still heald discs in the same manner (2 on the flap, 1 on the right side of the inner case), but I noticed they felt a bit flimsier. I compared it to an older 3 disc elite case, and the new ones are definitely thinner. There's even a slight disc-shaped indentation on the inside of the case (on the side that doesn't hold a disc) where it is thinner. It doesn't have a recycle logo or anything on it, but it is thinner.

I don't like that they are thinner, but they did work out nicely in one manner. I bought these little stick-on disc hubs from amazon (I think it was from a 3rd party seller who has their orders fullfilled by amazon). I wanted to experiment with make a 3-disc case into a 4-disc case.

The Avengers (3D version set) was my main reason for wanting to try this. I hated the stacked discs inside of the case, but I wanted a case that would fit inside of the slip cover (and normal 4-disc cases are too wide). Plus I have that bonus disc from Target. I wanted to be able to leave out the digital copy, but put the other discs and the Target disc in the case.

So, I put one of these stick on hubs on the side that doesn't hold a disc, and made sure to line it up so that the center of that hub doesn't hit the center of the hub from the "page" that it comes into contact with (so the case will close fine). All in all it wasn't too bad. It is a tight fit when it comes to closing the case, but it does close with no resistance.

The only issue is that the stick on hub doesn't hold a disc quite as well as the actual hubs in the case and the disc can come loose more easily than I would like... but I did find a solution for that.... when I put some kind of paper (i.e. the DMR code sheet) in the clips and over the disc, it helps hold it to the hub and it doesn't come loose (at least not unless I REALLY go out of my way to try to force it to pop out, and even then it still usually stays put). I couldn't get all of the paper item that came with it back in the case and close it with all 4 discs in there, but I didn't care. I only put what is needed in there to hold the other disc in place. I put the 3D disc under there since it's the one that will get the least use (since I don't even have a 3D TV as of now).

But it's a solution. I haven't tried putting one of these hubs in the older, thicker 3-disc cases, but I doubt it will work. So I guess there's something to be said for the thinner cases.

But if the case you describe truly is an elite case and that's the direction these things are going in, then I'm not looking forward to that at all. That completely ruins any future use of my extra hub solution.
