So how much longer do you think the lockdowns should continue? They are opening things up in stages you know. Are you opposed to even that too?

Far Less people and spaced further apart and minus the hundreds of scattered homeless people then a New York Subway Car everyday of the week for the duration of this entire pandemic so far. Why not shame that city and their people too since this thread seems to be nothing more then that today.

Getting very tired of the constant shaming taking place here, it is annoying and childish and the mods should be canning every post that does it, would cut this post size in half at this point. This thread imo is now a pointless mess of constant back and fourth of I'm right, your wrong!

a reminder not to touch your face is the only realistic reason imo...the mask on ym damn face is reminder enough for me personally though. touching my face isnt an issue, not for others i see out and about constantly touching it, lowering it to talk etc etc...

you had a sore throat, so naturally, you think you had corona seems logical...

Opening in stages makes the most sense but we all know how this is going to end. It isn't going to get better regardless of how they go about reopening, not right now anyway.

Who is we? Again, average daily cases and death in the U.S. are down by about one third in May vs. April. So how is that not getting better?

The eyeroll was totally unnecessary. I said I had a sore throat for two weeks. Sore throats don't last two weeks.

Some people's fingernails can't wait much longer. And bar owners have bills to pay.

sore throats definitely can last up to two weeks. making the jump from a sore throat with no other symptoms and assuming you had corona is a bit dramatic, hence the eye roll.

i'll refrain from the use of emojis with you from now on, dont want to upset anyone.

A drug being tested by scientists at China's prestigious Peking University could not only shorten the recovery time for those infected, but even offer short-term immunity from the virus, researchers say.

"When we injected neutralising antibodies into infected mice, after five days the viral load was reduced by a factor of 2,500," said Xie.

He said he hopes that the drug will be ready for use later this year and in time for any potential winter outbreak of the virus, which has infected 4.8 million people around the world and killed more than 315,000.

"The hope is these neutralising antibodies can become a specialised drug that would stop the pandemic," he said.

"We would be able to stop the pandemic with an effective drug, even without a vaccine," he said.

Dead @ this. That's all the girls in my area. "I absolutely NEED my nails done." Like pretty nails is going to make their face less ugly.

Mice & monkeys are not humans. In the past, treatments for diseases that have been effective in mice & monkeys have turned out to be totally useless in humans. We'll see though, right now it's merely a "hope" exactly like Xie stated. When something is found to be safe & effective for use in humans we'll know about it. In the meantime, regardless of reopening or not:

Fact: Physical distancing, especially when combined with vigilant & meticulous use of PPE & frequent hand washing reduces rate of transmission.

Fact: Close contact, especially when combined with little or no use of PPE & infrequent hand washing increases rate of transmission.

obviously but good progress at least and certainly a more likely treatment than expecting a vaccine any time soon...

not sure why you felt the need to post your facts lol. isnt that common knowledge by now?

Apparently not, have you seen the behavior of many that is going on across the country as we speak?
