This question should probably go to Bob, but please anybody chime in if they know something:
I've heard almost nothing about the UA 3D classic feature (owned perhaps by MGM?) "The Diamond Wizard". Anything happening there? Even anything that can't be spoken of. ![]() |

Hi, Warren,
Some of us were privileged to see The Diamond Wizard in actual 3-D at World 3-D Film Expo II back in September 2006. My recollection is that it's an interesting film with a good cast and really proficient 3-D. I personally think it's wise to wait and let Bob and Greg and Jack Theakston speak up about forthcoming 3-D Film Archive projects in their own good time. That way they're not placed in an embarrassing or compromising position. After all, even their silence on a particular subject can sometimes be misread as a tacit confirmation, when no such thing is intended. Trust me, they won't sit on information once they have the all-clear to share it. ![]() Last edited by bavanut; 08-03-2016 at 09:19 PM. |

They probably would have wanted to region lock it and have a bad reputation thanks to their early discs becoming unplayable, good riddance to them - I'm really glad that Flicker Alley are having such a success with it

Speaking of Jerry Lewis, how many other stars of 1950s 3-D have a new movie coming out?
First Look at Max Rose with Jerry Lewis I hope something can be worked out with Money from Home while Mr Lewis is still with us. |

No, we own DRAGONFLY SQUADRON and the Popeye cartoon is with another library, I think WB.

Other possibilities: Friday the 13th Part III The Man Who Wasn't There and in Italy, Paramount released Funniest Show on Earth (1953). Don't know if that counts here. Last edited by BleedOrange11; 08-23-2016 at 01:50 AM. |

Hondo is not owned by Paramount, they simply licensed it from the Wayne Estate.
And the key words are Golden Age. |
