That link is from a January 7, 2015 post and can be confusing since it states it was last edited: "Friday at 8:53 AM and no year date."
Blu-ray.com has been listing Those Redheads From Seattle 3D for an April 25, 2017 release.

It is an absolute delight seeing a neglected film come back to life.

I've just returned from a week-long visit with 3-D restoration master Greg Kintz and his work on THOSE REDHEADS FROM SEATTLE is simply remarkable. He's taken some VERY faded color elements and with his usual scene-to-scene alignment and left/right panel matching, this 3-D gem is really beginning to shine.

Add to this mix the amazing three-channel stereophonic sound recreation by audio wizard Eckhard Büttner; the meticulous dirt/damage clean-up by Thad Komorowski and the painstaking 3-D intermission title restoration by Jack Theakston and you'll be experiencing this wonderful widescreen 3-D classic properly for the first time since 1953.

It's worth noting this film is historically significant as the first non-anamorphic widescreen production in 1953. When the stereoscopic cameras rolled on location in Aspen, Colorado on March 16, 1953, the intended aspect ratio was 1.66:1. The film has not been seen that way in more than sixty years.

It premieres on the big screen at the TCM festival in April and is coming to 3-D Blu-ray on May 9 from our good friends at Kino Lorber!

These are not the final images and it's still a work-in-progress but here's a little sample of what Greg has achieved in restoring color to the faded elements. The yellow record was nearly gone and there are no YCM separation masters on the film.

You'll note the differential fading on the sides. That's typical of an element that was not stored properly and sat unwound for many, many years.

The 3-D layering and cinematography in this segment (Guy Mitchell singing "Chicka - Boom") is fantastic. In fact, the entire film is incredibly well-staged for great depth.

Bob,

As to "sat unwound," do you mean that it had not been re-wound for decades?

Correct. It basically sat on the shelf and was not touched for decades. In short, poor archival work on the part of the studio. Thank goodness the new regime in the Paramount Archive are much more proactive with the studios history.

Was this the first 35mm feature length motion picture in non-anamorphic widescreen
or
the first 35mm in non-anamorphic during the year that all studios went widescreen?

There were non-anamorphic widescreen productions in 1929/30: http://www.3dfilmarchive.com/home/wi...-documentation

I thought those were larger film formats rather than 35mm.

Were some early non-anamorphic films in 35mm ?

I love the way they used colour here. If it can be brought back, this film should be a visual feast.

Disappointing to hear about Paramount films suffering from improper storage conditions. I hope other titles like Sangaree and Jivaro aren't too badly affected.

I can report that 90% (or more) of the color on the camera negative original footage has been brought back to its intended palette. We had non-faded Kodachrome images taken on the set and used them as reference.

The dupe negative footage cut in for opticals - such as fades and dissolves - is nearly gone and our results were not always as succesful. That being said, Greg has literally worked another miracle (shades of GOG) on this one.

The poor storage lasted for decades but the new archival team is top notch and doing their best to undo the harm of previous regimes.

Exciting things are happening at the Archive.

We've just completed a test scan from the original 35mm left/right camera negatives of a vintage feature that has never been seen in 3-D. The results are excellent and look much better than we anticipated. The next step is 3-D panel-matching and alignment to evaluate the stereoscopic cinematography. Fingers are crossed that the camera shutters were in phase and the photography is competent.

The film was released flat only and if all goes well, it should be on 3-D Blu-ray by the end of 2017!

Great news again! The 1950's 3D films that were never released in 3D are:

Dragonfly Squadron - 3D Film Archive restored
Jivaro - Paramount so maybe
The Command - with WB so no
Top Banana - missing elements
The Diamond Wizard - was shown 9/13/2006 so no
The Bounty Hunter -with WB so no
Son of Sinbad - RKO - does Sony have RKO? So maybe.

But maybe it's not a 1950's title.

Scratch "Sinbad", Warner has RKO. Best guess would be "Jivaro".(if it's "Golden Age")
