Besides this Yash-raj has re- released their 16 titles with a revised price tag of just INR 399 !

That is great news!! Can you please list the specs as well? Does it include the TrueHD 96k. Cannot wait to hear Suresh Wadkar croon 'Lagi Aaj Saawan', and the Tandav. That one has some great percussion. Judging from the compilation discs, the songs had pretty awesome audio. Not all the songs were on the compilation through.

Has there been anything changed with the re-releases? But i am glad that Yash Raj is being price competitive. Its gives people a chance to purchase the BD instead of the DVD. They are also the most consistent Indian company producing BD's atm. Kudos to them!

List of re release titles please. I badly want them to remove the watermark in dtph which is not yet done. Second wait is if they fixed fanaa audio echo issue. I dont mind dipping again if they have corrected the issues.

Thanks. Is there change in catalog numbers of titles? How does one identify the new batch? The new price is a sticker over old or printed on cover itself?

Blu ray seller can u plz check just dtph and tell me watermark is there or not when subtitles r off. If no watermark at begining of songs i ll buy rightaway.

Good to see Yashraj being consistent with their catalogue titles. At the new low price all these titles would be an absolute steal for anyone even remotely interested. Is the transfer on "Dil To Pagal Hai" any good?

It is very good if you like boosted and vibrant HDTV broadcast quality on Blu Rays. Its the age of the film hence will have softness / 'unfocussed around edge' issues hence wont be as sharp as today's films on BD. In case u r looking for the intended theatrical look on blu ray, a clear no no.

This is great but I highly doubt yrf has reauthorized the old titles.. I mean that would be great but don't see that happening .. Any cover art out? Besides chandni

Thanks Anurag. I barely remember how it looked on the big screen. I have this long out of print special edition DVD in a nice looking jewel case and slip, which remains unplayed till date However, I'm willing to toss it away if the HD transfer is considerable improvement over the DVD.


I know at 399/- I shouldn't be too picky but that cover art for Chandni is horrendous.

If improvement over DVD is ur only concern for DTPH, then just go for blind buy. I have owned experienced and sold all the DVD versions of DTPH released till date. I bet u ll never play that dvd again even if u never played it in the first place Its that good for sure.
