I wonder if they'll get Savini to autograph 100 or so of these - it would be a smart move to help garner buzz. I can't really see it selling faster than Island or Earth, though the inclusion of the uncensored director's cut would have helped.

The fact it's taken this long to come out is retarded.

Why? The movie bombed and as far as I know doesn't have a major cult following.

That's actually true! This movie bombed along with the likes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 that year. It probably made money due to the miniscule budget though, especially, once it was out on video, and everything.

One movie I due remember people hating the year it came out was Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2... I guess it explains the staggering $5 million total it made after the first was a hit years before it. Somehow, I was in the group that hated it, this film magaged to gather a fanbase just like the base the Night of the Living Dead remake has.

It has a following in the horror community, regarded as one of the better remakes.

Thanks for the link. I actually really love this movie. It's the first zombie movie I saw growing up.

Thanks for the link.

First time I saw this was on TNT during Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs. First real zombie film I saw and was absolutely enamored with it even years later when I had seen better zombie flicks.

Kinda bummed this will be so limited, but hopefully I can get a copy. Do you know a ballpark of how much this will go for? (official retail, not third party resellers)

What happened with Fright Night... how long did that actually stay available after the official release? Just a matter of hours?

The date when the Pre Order option officially became available on the SA site was November 14th, the official release date was December 13th, and it sold out on December 19th.

On December 16th Screen Archives suddenly made a promotional offer available through their website.... if you ordered $100.00 worth of merchandise from the [then small] Twilight Time catalog you would get a copy signed by Tom Holland (the Director) for free - only 100 such copies were made available. This was taken, by some, as a sort of a slap in the face for those who ordered early. Many of those people ordered at least $100 bucks worth of TT Blu's when the FN preorder went up but because they did it before the promo was offered they weren't eligible. Had they waited they would've snagged an uber-rare Director-signed copy... for free.

Just something to consider when the Pre Order for Night of the Living Dead officially goes up.

$29.95 for the BD, plus about $5 for shipping--assuming you're in the US.

35 days exactly.

The 100 discs signed by Tom Holland lasted about 24 hours.

Thank you.

That seems reasonable enough. Now, time to mark my calendar LOL.
