That seems pretty accurate. Remember reading somewhere that Sony was considering selling the movie studio given their financial troubles... can't recall if that was just a rumor though. I wouldn't be opposed to it at this point. Maybe we'd get more blu-ray catalog releases if they had a different owner.

If NOTLD '90 ends up selling out it'll be because of opportunists looking to make some money from a presumed repeat of a Fright Night scenario. I've seen plenty of pans for this film on several message boards, with comments ranging from "it's a sacrilege" to the usual "they never should've remade Romero's masterpiece", so it's not a film that will sell out based on popularity.

SONY won't let anyone who acquires their titles to produce special features. Cliff has already commented on this in the Scream Factory thread, saying something like they're not interested in grabbing Sony titles if they're not allowed to include extras. Good for Shout, I say.

Does Twilight Time only do Sony movies? If so then I would love them to release London (2006) which Sony Pictures Classics distributed. Amazing movie with Chris Evans, Jessica Biel, and Jason Statham.
Also I really really want to buy Night of the Living Dead (90) on Blu. I love zombie movies and I saw the remake first before the original. The original just was too dated for me. While its not the best zombie film out there, its still quite enjoyable. |

Whitesheik I said if it sells out quickly, I don't know if it will or not, there have been many predictions of quick sell outs with other titles that never happened. I think six weeks is quick.

Fright Night being a cult classic is somewhat revisionist history. Its reputation seems to have been bolstered a bit by the remake and it selling out so fast from Twilight Time, but it has always been bargain bin fodder. It's not even that beloved of a movie in horror circles except to a small generation that grew up with it on cable.

It was nowhere in the same league as the heavyweight horror franchises of the 80s, like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street. Twilight Time got very lucky in picking a popular movie among the right BD-buying demographic.
