No. It really depends on a few factors like how far away the TV is from the router or gateway box that sends the wireless signal out to your devices. If it's far, it will loose speed from your total internet speed. Another thing is whether or not your TV is on the 2.5 Ghz band or the 5Ghz. The 5 Ghz band gives you more speed, but has a decreased range. The 2.4 Ghz band has decreased speed but increased signal. Most people have it set to where their devices choose which band is best for it. Personally for me, I have them separated. That way, I can allocate which devices need to be on the 5 Ghz band and which can go on the 2.4 Ghz band.

Speed is neither loose nor tight.

I disagree strongly with that.

Oled TV's may have better black levels, but My Sony put side by side against one would be very, very slight.
And my TV can get miles ahead in brightness. Something I like better than black level anyway.

Pshh, what a load of nonsense. You can't play all of the best laserdiscs on that thing. OLED plus laserdisc equals perfection.

Laser Disc, are you kidding me. I remember selling my LD player like 18 years ago. Next are you going to tell how great VHS look on an OLED.

VHS is fantastic. It's definitely better than the worst formats of all time-- DVD and Blu-Ray. T2 on laserdisc is unmatched-- those blue gels really come out perfectly on it. Although the T2 UHD really is a fantastic transfer and exactly how Cameron wanted it to turn out.

Thanks so much for your reply.

I really did connect my Z9D on the 5GHz and the router is just near my TV.

The problem I'm getting now is...
When I used to get a 100M network, the speed could be up to 1XXMps,
When I updated my network to 200M, the speed could be up to 2XXMps,
But when I finally get my network updated to 300M, the speed is shown like I'm using a 200M network, just 2XXMps, technically it should be up to 3XXMps like the speeds my cellphone and notebook get.
I really don't know what happens.

And I start thinking whether SONY limits the Wi-Fi speed as they did to the LAN cable connection or not.

Does anyone here who are using a 300M or above network can help test their speeds via Wi-Fi for me to see whether it's my own TV's problem or SONY really did something weird to limit the Wi-Fi connection speed on every Z9D?

Sigh...

Which means SONY really DID something to limit the Wi-Fi speed connection like they only use 1/100M LAN ports.

Thanks for testing.

I have a few low rent BD that haven't been remastered and gone vinegar. Between this TV, and my Panasonic I can actually manipulate the video image enough to make it passable....almost decent video image.
Something unheard of before.

If only it could handle classic video game consoles like the Super Nintendo, but there is no fix for that. Anyway my 20" CRT PVM with S-video (700 lines horizontal resolution) rocks that shit out of the stadium. still...65" would be something!

When it comes to picture quality, most LED's today are still inferior to the Z9D, which is a shame. It seems the manufacturers are loading these TV's up with gaming features instead of picture quality advancements. Sony needs to go back and update the Z9D quality with some motion handling features they have into some of their displays. Sony is producing some bad LED TV's.

I don't have any data nor inside information, but my guess is that TVs this good are more niche and experimental and don't bring in any profit margin to make it worth it for Sony.

It's clear the average consumer does not see much value beyond the typical lower end model Samsung or Vizio at Costco or the TCL 4 series at Target. I also post in a couple of "home theater" groups, and even those guys lean more towards Joe 6pack that don't want to spend more than $1,200 on a 75" TV.

With that said, while I appreciate resources like Rtings and detailed reviews from Vincent at HDTVtest, it's also made thousands of people think they are experts without seeing or buying TVs or seeing them beyond the exact same static test pattern or exact same scenes from Vincent.

As bad of a "blooming reputation" that newer Sony Tvs get, in practical terms for 99.9% of scenarios they look every bit as good as any other TV, if not better. I'd take the 950H over any Samsung and even TCL/Hisense even though those TVs show better contrast ratio and black levels on test benchmarks. Their backlight algorithm is better and they also still are more accurate and handle motion, gradients, and accurate EOTF better

From what I have read, the Sony Z8H is supposed to be a very nice set.

I don't care about 8K at all, but I would like a Sony 85". Sadly though, no BMD (individually LED controlled that is, not zone based) means no sale. And so the wait for a worthwhile 75Z9D replacement continues...

And Sony's general picture processing is still class leading IMO. That said, I don't think they've wrangled OLED - or rather LG Display's panels - as well as others have done. If my ZD9 went up in smoke tomorrow I wouldn't replace it with a Sony OLED, and it goes without saying that I won't consider any of their current LCD models, not while a TV that's essentially five years old (in development terms) still has superior backlight control.

i just love how a 5 year old tv still is relevant in forums such as these. Sony built a beast of a tv with the Z9D. Every time I watch a movie I’m impressed with what it does.
