Don't have a 4K setup and the disc covers are stunning! Welp, this is going to be still on the top 10 sales list!

You mean like it'd be idiotic to say absolutely nothing about an actual 4K release?

Good job I've no interest in owning this, as I'd be pissed.

Could be a glitch or perhaps a manager pushed the sale through. It’s happened before.

Went to two different Targets, and they only had the regular blu-rays.

A Target employee must've screwed this up. Bad. Especially if this isn't supposed to be released for another month or so.

Guys, don't you realize this was the plan all along. Start out with the regular for $25, then put it on sale BF for $10 after everyone bought it, and then release the 4K version by surprise without any promotion so more people would buy it too! Make perfect sense to me.

No need for a manager, it registered at self checkout without issue

I ended up adding on more to my post, as I get the feeling this has more to do with an incompetent employee, more so than Target or Netflix themselves.

If any other members are in NYC, they had a number of these out in addition to the one I got. Again - Herald Square location.

That's because it supposedly comes out end of November or early December.

If this ends up having a Dolby Vision grade, this very well might be the first UHD disc with ICtCp as well.

I plan on getting the Sony A1 OLED in a couple weeks. Hopefully Sony pushes through their DV firmware update soon, so I can compare it to how it looks on the LG B6.

Netflix heavily used Stranger Things to advertise it's service, including 4K streaming. There's every reason to expect a 4K release of S1 and now it's been confirmed.

I guess I can mark the blu-ray exclusive off my Black Friday list!

Geez, this has been the weirdest release ever. First people weren't sure if the first disc release was legit or not, and I panic-bought it the first day because I thought it was going to be super-limited- there were only 3 copies left in the store so I grabbed one, the next week they restocked with a ton. There's been NO word on a 4K disc until this posting, obviously I would've waited for that if I knew it was coming but too late now.

Wow, way to steal some of the thunder from Westworld (and just to be clear, I have You Are Wanted, the real "first" TV series on UHD BD).

I have to admit that this has gone from clever to irritating very quickly, as I would have vastly preferred to not purchase the BD/DVD version in lieu of the UHD/BD version. But, oh well, I'll still buy it, as soon as it's officially released.

Also, I'm surprised anyone thinks this was anything other than a completely deliberate leak by Target. Even if the "leak" of the original release was fake, which it probably wasn't, there is no way Target could have hoped to keep this release secret after what just happened with the BD/DVD version. So this was probably another completely deliberate publicity stunt, especially since it happened in (of all places) New York, and not somewhere in flyover country where you could reasonably suppose copies were received early and held in advance of release date.
