Robert, how did you find out the two ESS DACs model numbers of the UB9000P1K?
...From Panasonic? ...You opened it up?

What is the reason that the UB9000 player cannot play ATMOS audio from USB 2160P MKV file?
But you can't boot from BD format either, from USB

I'd imagine it's a rights issue with DV. I wouldn't rely on any disc based player for external media playback, it can be hit and miss, especially with large OEMs.

Correct ^ Panasonic will not violate copyright laws. So if the content has the HDCP metadata is till play all audio formats over the USB port.

How can I access files with such HDCP metadata?

Robert, I would also like to hear your opinion about PANASONIC 65JZ2000E Oled.
I saw VINCENT’s video and was very sad.

A copied file will not have the HDCP copyright flag as it's only available on original purchased content.

Sorry to say Panasonic has decided not to bring into the US any TVs for the 2021 model year.

I'm sorry to hear that!
Isn't the US a big enough market for Panasonic? I do not really understand.
Or since you don't have a 65 'bigger display in 2021, so are you still waiting?
I currently live in Hungary here in mid-September will be available,
That is why I would be interested in your opinion.

Not sure of all of the reasons Panasonic considered before deciding on not bringing in their TVs into the North and South American market.

Some of the considerations are the costs and time to get the streaming app agreement and license fees, the many US government approvals, and setting up service facilities and distribution across the US.

This decision is understandable then. Then you can't answer my question because you can't see the JZ2000 live.
The SONY 65A90J OLED is also thinking. Your opinion on that?

I saw that on another thread.
Does it seriously go above 2000 nits? What screen sizes?

No. It tops around 1300 nits but only in vivid/torch mode. In a calibrated mode, more like 900 nits but in specular highlights. It can get higher APL than other OLEDs too.

If I choose this instead of the 65JZ2000E then I will not be disappointed?
I'm really interested in image quality. My previous TV was a Panasonic 60ZT60E plasma.

2000 nits is a juuuuuust a bit outside. It's a gorgeous set. In fact, I believe Vincent said "it's the most impactful HDR I've seen from an OLED tv. Surpassing even the Panasonic GZ2000."

The SONY A90J and Panasonic HZ/JZ2000 at 65 inches are the two TV's I'm looking at getting? Which one comes out on top I reckon?
Pairing it with with Panasonic UB9000 and Oppo-205

I stood at a store and looked at a Panny Oled model we have here. I think it said 88". 80 something inch.

I stood there contemplating. Ready to push go but ultimately made the decision it was too small. I'll wait until the tech hits 100". I need that extra 12" for my room.
