No. If you use ARC, you still can’t get proper surround. samsung ARC only sends back up to DD+.

You should put all your sources into your receiver, the video out from your receiver to the one connect

Before I do all this let me ask one simple question. Since I just have two left and right speakers with built-in sub woofers and a center channel speaker will I actually get any improvement by making this set up? I have no surround speakers or Atmos set ups

Yes, because you’ll be listening to lossless audio instead lossy.

Thank you for all your help. I obviously have no clue how audio works anymore.

in conclusion-- thank you to the people (especially sapiendut) who helped and convinced me to switch around my settings--

I just finished changing stuff around and tested SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, KONG SKULL ISLAND, and a couple others................ WOW!!!!!

I thought the sound was already an enormous improvement from my soundbar (and it was) but this is another level entirely. I don't even have a true surround set up or anything close to Dolby Atmos but the sound was still amazing-- much louder, crystal clear, noticeable separation all over (the front) of my room!

Thanks for your understanding.
Unfortunately I won't get better, this happened 7 years ago and I got worse as time passes by. My shoulder limbs crack everytime I move my arms and of course, it hurts. In addition to that I lost around 70 % of mobility on my left shoulder and over 50% on my right one. I need to have strong painkillers daily, Tramadol, it's an opium derivate, it makes me sleepy and sometimes make me a little groggy.
My left arm is supported not by my shoulder limb, as it should be, but by the surrounding muscles. Side effects: often neck muscular contracture, this not only hurts, it leaves me as if I was drunk. Because of this my left arm is pulling from all the surrounding muscles, includding the neck's, this has caused osteoarthritis on my neck's vertebrae, it's visible with a simple X-Ray, vertebrae are bent to the left.
You want me to go on? Or you prefer to slow down and avoid this to happen to you? Because, and I don't want to be a bringer of bad news, if you don't stop this will eventually happen. Go to see a doctor or a psicologist or a psychiatrist, they will tell you the same I'm telling you now.
Learn this, abuses, all kind of abuses, take a toll, job included. Being a hard working person is well seen by sociaty, but everything has a limit.

That's the least I can do, share what happens to me so this doesn't happen to others.
And beware, I didn't have any "weird substances" or alcohol, right the opposite, my doctor prescripted me ansiolitics and I don't take them because I wanted to be as I said at the time "at a 100% and in full shape to work".

I'll just paste what I wrote on another forum concerning the 820....Received my 820 yesterday and relegated my OPPO 203 as the backup/SACD player. Played around a few hours and fine tuned it to my liking and I have to say that it's what it's cracked up to be. Outstanding PQ! I always left the OPPO on Auto in the settings because the HDR options all gave me weird PQ. With the 820 the slider and HDR optimizer are a godsend. I tried both the SDR2020 and HDR2020 and prefer the HDR2020.

Yup! That’s what I’ve been saying from the get go and some people think I’m a Panasonic shill because of that.

Eh, as you're a projektor owner I'm not surprised that the Panny is the ultimate panacea for your display. Are you gonna go back and rewatch every UHD now that you can actually watch it properly? And to think you've been commenting on UHD for all this time with borked PQ. Who knew?

He'll be having a blast with that new RS1000 anyhow, so good thing he got the Panny now!

Envy is coming (maybe?). Hopefully, it's the video processor to force Radiance Pro to compete on price. We'll all be seeing 1080P and HDR at the next level if so. Perhaps more so for projector owners.

Anyhow, don't tell him. It's the only way my RS600 can get competitive with that RS1000.

Here I am just waiting for the Darbee 4K to be released.

And hoping for Lumagen Radiance Pro to have a version that only deal with S16:9 scaling for $1000 (I don’t want the rest of the features)

Hold on here, it's not like I couldn't tell the PQ was good or bad before. It's just better. If you've noticed it's not like I go in detail about the PQ either. It's either, it's really good, good, Ok, or meh. Hardly technical video reviews lol

It's a little noisy. How close are you sitting to it?
