With LG and Sony OLED choices that are all so close to Panasonic's OLED picture quality and to each-other's image performance I don't see the value in importing an OLED TV.

Plus when considering no warranty, cost of importing and risk of damage in-transit and most importantly no Dolby Vision is it really worth it?

In 2016 Panasonic launched its first OLED TV, the TX-65CZ950. In 2017 Panasonic released its latest OLEDs, the EZ-1000 and EZ-950, two very high quality sets (with the EZ-1000 marketed as a "professional" TV). All of Panasonic's OLED TV sets use WRGB OLED panels produced by LG Display.

Well LG makes their own panels, and Sony uses LG, and as I posted Panasonic uses LG also. (all so close)

Anyway good they do sell and support some of the Panasonic products here in the states.

Just for clarification, Sony, Panasonic, LG Electronics and several other OLED TV brands all use WRGB OLED panels manufactured by LG Display Company, Ltd.

The point is LG Electronics is a customer of LG Display just like Sony and Panasonic are.

That gets lost a lot. LGD sells the panels to everyone, LGE sells LG tv's and other things.

The recent HDTVTest shootout was won by Panasonic.

I agree all are close and there is a Sony A9F coming soon which might beat them all.

Will Panasonic TVs be getting the version of LG OLEDs panels that won't get Burn Ins?

If LG/Sony/Pansonic all use OLED panels from LG Display what is the answer?

To follow current precautions and correct settings when using OLEDs.

I’ve used both plasma and OLED. For some “strange reasons” I never had burn in.

Me either. 6 plasmas from 2004-2013, had some IR but no BI. 4 OLED's since 2015, no BI.

Some information on the upcoming A9F and Z9F. Look for the charts.

That's a lot of TV's you've been through. You upgrade yearly? I wish I could Splurge like that. I upgrade at most every two years. Every three seems about right for me. The only plasma I've had was the st60 which had burn in after about 3 years(I think wife fell asleep). My oled ef9500 had no bi. My newest c8 hopefully won't get bi. And if it does, I'll be a good excuse for a upgrade.

I'm about every year. I think I am slowing down now though. I mean the two I have do not need upgrading until something groundbreaking happens, like reliable 1000 nit OLEDs or something...

Still, that A9F would be a nice addition to the Sony OLED family at your place though...

I'm thinking of getting a Z9F myself...
