I have a UB820 and I love it. Unfortunately I ran into a problem connecting an external hard drive USB that doesn't have external power into the front panel's USB. It looks like I will need a powered USB extender.
Does anybody here have suggested powered USB extenders? I am connecting a 4TB Toshiba Canvio Basic portable hard drive. |

I can see text "5V/500mA. HDD: use rear USB" on front port. Short form 30-50 cm USB A extender cable (without external power) might be sufficient with the rear port connection, which can output higher current. According to manual rear USB provides 900 mA, which should be enough for most portable HDDs. It's also USB3. Front is USB2.

So if I stop a movie and then resume it knocks the audio out of sync and nothing I try fixes it I have to turn off the player (820) and let it off for a few hours before it fixes itself with the disc if I take the movie out and put something else in it works fine but put the disc back in and boom sync is off like hell anyone has this issue?

I take it then you would say you can recreate the delay? Are you using one hdmi or two? Straight to tv or to a receiver?

I guess so as I hit play and it delays and then I would eject the disc and reinsert and hit the “resume” button it does the same when I repeat and hit the go to menu and then hit scene selection it still has the delay but when I turn off the machine for say 30 mins and then restart it plays perfectly I guess I just have to remember to hit pause or just turn off the machine and not just stop |

Just got the 820 set up.
I'm only watching 1080p blu rays at the moment. High clarity sound is on by default. Do I want this on or off? Also, on my older Panny BD player when a disc starts up it says 24p in the top right corner, where as it doesnt on the 820? Last edited by Rottweiler30; 01-11-2023 at 10:39 PM. |
