Thanks, but don’t need to. He’s retired so he has no agenda and is a wise old owl to boot, plus he belongs to the same degree-d club as I do . I quickly skimmed tidbits of the original livestream feeds you posted online shortly after the event and I was rather amazed at the expressed exuberance of one of the calibrators over Kuro plasmas…lol, it reminded me of an old commercial…

but, in the case of the calibrator, *coo coo for Kuros*. Can you YouTube that short sequence where he tells the gathered audience how many Kuros he has in his house or apartment? It will make fellow member Sap feel real good for if he doesn’t follow this section of the forum, I can always repost it in the Tech forum in order to perk him up for whenever he’s feeling digitally down.

Maybe so but I would still like to hear his side of things, but alas I fear his services are required for important work within the AV Industry to post here.

Penton, you are tough to please.

Everyone loved, enjoyed and earned a lot from Joe Kane e and Dr. Larry Weber's presentations. The fact that they had no personal agenda, other than education the attendees and online viewers made it even better. Most importantly the public would never have the opportunity to experience this level of valuable information.

Hope you can join us next year at our 2015 VE TV Shootout.

The fixation on pronunciations is bordering on thread derailment, let's move on please.

On October 22nd. Joe Kane will be inducted as a SMPTE Fellow during the Fellows Luncheon, and further recognized on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the SMPTE Honors and Awards Ceremony.

Both events will be held in conjunction with the SMPTE 2014 Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition (SMPTE 2014) at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. The Fellows Luncheon will feature a keynote by SMPTE Fellow Darcy Antonellis, who serves as chief executive officer at Vubiquity.

Dr. Larry Weber was made IEEE and SID Fellow and has been awarded many awards and acknowledgements for his development of PDP and energy efficiency.

Congratulations to our two distinguished key note speakers!

-Robert

It's been long time common knowledge how many KURO's D-Nice has in his house...

Certainly on AVS and AV Forums (and more than likely HDJ) anyway.

Not really. I'm just not a lapdog to special interests. But anyway, moving on ...astute business opportunity Re: http://www.twice.com/news/tv/gen-2-s...l-floors/54654

Are you going to video the event and put it on YouTube for us west coasters to see? Will you have dancin girls like Video & Audio Center in Santa Monica, Calif did for their 4K LG OLED US retail debut event? I like dancin girls during tech events.
