Had opportunity to listen to the presentation on Δ ICtCp, nicely done .

I’ll add that color diff has been investigated in ITU for some time - https://www.itu.int/xxxxx now and continues to progress. Folks should be aware that among other developments, a new color difference formula deltaHDRLUV based on the Luv color space (from Philips) has been added to the newest recommendation draft.

P.S.
x’ed out complete link to the preliminary draft color diff recommendation just in case there are any hackers reading this who are capable of breaking thru the ITU firewall to read the document

While waiting for attendees to do their assessment with the ice hockey match on screen at traditional frame rate, remembering Maryline et al. with regards to the pioneering work they did in delivering an Ultra HD phase 2 live production - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...y#post13461582

Take a moment during the dark lull in shootout action to “Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more.” ― Roy T. Bennett

And with further study, all proposals should be compared as to which color difference formula is superior for different applications.

The fact that the Z9F won out above other LED’s is cool. I cannot wait to have my set delivered on Thursday.

Nah, and the C8 is the same PQ as the E8 but much cheaper. Both OLEDs had the same HDR performance and SDR Sony edged out the LG by 1 point.

Heh, OLEDs may have won again as they usually do, but just barely, and I mean barely. The Z9F hangs in impressively close indeed.

What is amazing is the fact that an LCD came with in 5 points of besting the top OLED in the dark room

remember this is the judges scores and NOT the scores of us that attended. It may or may not change the actual standings when added in later this week.

Thanks to Robert and his family who treated us like kings and queens .

Another great time that I will always remember...
