That image gets me so excited. Top Gun was one of the defining movies of my childhood. I'll never forget seeing it on the big screen and thinking it was just the coolest movie ever. Curious what they'll do storywise, considering so much about aerial warfare has changed since the time the original was made.

Or.... don't sweat over crafting a work of art.... Just turn up the volume on the explosions and jet engine sounds...Yeah... that should do it for today's audience...

It'd be great if Clint Eastwood could have a spot in this film..

Tom ejects from the jet plane where his friend has just been killed by enemy fire, and Tom (unbelievably) lands on a drone already in flight, and controls it to ultimately save the day.

I don't like the title, although I think it would be really easy to fix. Just add an S. Mavericks can refer not only to Pete Mitchell but to the younger generation he's training.
