[Show spoiler]Though I do see the movie as one of the "blemishes" on the property as a whole, it's still part of my childhood and experience with MOTU, and it does have it's moments despite the vast imperfections.

I'm a HUGE MOTU fan. In fact, the "Eternia" in my screen name is because of MOTU.

I bought the DVDs of all of the cartoon series (the original He-Man cartoon, She-Ra, New Adventures of He-Man, and the 2002-2004 cartoon) over the years, a couple/few times over in most instances between repackagings (including a couple of convention exclusive variants that are now very hard to come by) and re-releases when the distribution rights changed hands....

I have a copy of the live action movie on DVD signed by James Tolkan, who plays Lubic in the movie (he's more well known for his roll as Mr. Strickland in Back to the Future). A few years ago, there was a screening of BTTF at a local theater, and Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Claudia Wells, and James Tolkan were there. I got photos taken with them, has Christopher Lloyd sign a copy of the first BTTF on DVD, and had Tolkan sign the MOTU movie on DVD. This was in early 2010, so it was before the Blu-Rays for those movies were available.

Unfortunately, except for a small handful of items, most of my childhood toy collection was given away years ago.

But I've been "religiously" collecting the Masters of the Universe Classics figure line. It's a collectible figure line aimed at adults who grew up with MOTU. It started in 2008, and it's actually still going. I've been pretty much a completest with the line since it started, so it's gotten rather insane!
Very Cool! I've got a handful of the stuff you have pictured there but need all the hard to find volumes... (She-Ra Season 2, New Adventures of He-Man Season 2, etc). I do have a question though, yours is the first time I've see the full collection, what edition of He-Man is the final volume displayed as part of the mural all the way on the right? If I remember correctly it's the 2002 He-man series but I'm curious to know what the cover looks like. I looked at your collection but still wasn't sure, mind pointing out which version it is?

Yeah, some of those go for crazy money now, because they were printed in smaller quantities. I bought them all as they came out.

I remember one time after most of them had been out for a while and were still available (at least all of the 80s MOTU, She-Ra, and New Adventures DVDs), Best Buy had them all on sale for $10 each. THAT would have been the perfect time to get them. I paid the full price for each of those sets when they came out, which was about $30-ish each, but considering how hard to get and pricey a few of them are now, I don't regret it.

That box might be hard to come by now. When BCI finally, after a lot of trying, got the license to release the 2002-2004 series (which they had to acquire separately from the rights for the other series, as it wasn't under the same owner) it was released in 3 volumes.

There were some retailer exclusive versions of some of those releases.

When Volume 1 came out, Best Buy's exclusive was a slip-box that would hold all 3 volumes once they were all released. Volume 1 was included with foam being in the place of the other two then-unreleased volumes, and with the foam covered by cardboard with text pertaining to the release and the exclusive box.

The back side of the box continued the mural from the other He-Man/She-Ra related releases.

Here are a couple of promo images of that release, which altogether show all 4 sides of the box:

I'll have to double check, but I don't think this specific exclusive is properly represented in my collection on here. I don't think there was a listing for it, and I never bothered to create one myself. But maybe I'll do something about that in the near future.

Default Friday the 13th Part V and VI

Here are the next Friday the 13th covers:

Part V (I decided to go with alternate poster artwork for this one):

Part VI (I tried to stay as close as possible to the original VHS but I could find a decent copy of the photo they used on the back):

Enjoy! If you would like a copy, send me a pm. I am still toying with the idea of making the New Line Friday movies but I am not for sure just yet.

Default Blown Away (1994)

I've been upgrading a lot of my old DVD's to Blu-ray lately. Purchased this title on Blu-ray here recently, but didn't care for the front portion of the cover art at all. Decided to work up alternative cover art. Turned out pretty good. See below.

(Click on previews above for full size images.)

And yes, there is no spine. :-P I only needed front and back portions for use in the digital realm. That being said, I figured I'd make the above available for download anyway. Those so inclined could certainly create their own spine. Cheers.

Your retro covers look awesome Count!

Hey BC, I wasn't able to use the photo you posted (it was just a little too small for what I needed) but I was able to capture the photo I needed off of a video file. Here is the second version of the 'Jason Lives' cover:

If anyone would like a copy of this cover, let me know.

The Friday cover for part 7 looks great. Part 6 to me seems a little too zoomed in. I know that's due to the size of the poster. The Laserdisc covers of 5 and 6 have enough room. It would be great if someone could use those as a basis for BD covers and replace the red writing on the gravestone with the gravestone from the poster.

Anyone have a cover for the Superman anthology? My cardboard has seen better days. Also want to fit the upcoming TV version in the same case.

Thanks!

What are you looking for exactly? I have a version of the outer box art that's been scanned/assembled for a standard multi disc case if that will work for you. It would look identical to the cardboard box, but would be a cover instead of a slipbox.

I made custom single covers for all the Friday the 13th movies using the original poster art for each film and re-formatting/res-sizing the existing back covers of the DVD special editions to conform to blu-ray specifications.

Here's Part VI with the red removed from the gravestone on VI, as it originally appeared on the theatrical one sheet poster.

Part VIII

Yeah, I tried to replicate the red lettering on the gravestone but I couldn't get it right. As for the zoomed in look on part 6 unfortunately that is how zoomed in the original posters were. I wanted to use the hockey mask on part V but all of the scans were too small for use on a bluray cover. Thanks for the compliments though.

Here's the last of the Paramount vhs recreations, in 2 varieties. I loved the original NY teaser poster so much that I had to make a version using that poster artwork. I also used the regular poster artwork.

Version 1 (Heart NY):

Version 2 (Regular poster):

Enjoy! PM me if you would like the links.

Thanks. Here's V and VII. I was never a fan of the generic hockey mask artwork used for the VHS and Laser Disc release of V, so I chose different artwork for the blu-ray cover.

Also, the file sizes for V, VI, VII and VIII that I uploaded are significantly reduced, so images/text may not appear as sharp as the full resolution files.
