I'm not a fan of the Criterion cover either. I made a cover for my copy of the German Blu-ray release using this. I guess I'll start a Criterion version based on this since that has now been announced.

Criterion almost never uses original poster art. If that's what you want, you don't like most criterion covers, I suspect.

That would, in fact, be true. Very few original Criterion covers in my collection.

My intention with these covers is to make them non-exclusive.

None of them mention that they are intended for a certain anniversary or a "Diamond Edition" or "Mystery In the Mist Edition" or anything, because I want them to be able to be used for the film in whichever release people own. They only mention that they are Blu-ray by the logo and a majority of them have "And More" in the special features so that in the future when a re-release inevitably comes along, you can simply change the disc out and still use the same artwork, or add the new disc to your existing collection, or however you see fit.

In the case of The Nightmare Before Christmas... Whether you own the 2D or 3D release, the Special Edition or the 20th Anniversary Edition, the stats and description on the artwork fit all of them without singling any particular version out and in the future when the next edition of the film is released on Blu-ray... the stats will still be accurate for those who choose to double dip and pick up the new version.
